One of the most humblest people/musicians I know. Such a servant leader with a depth of talent that always feels fresh while honoring the past! My highest respect for Imua!
Man it’s 4am here in Washington and I couldn’t sleep so I jump on my iPad. I get on my TH-cam and this pops up! I’m familiar with Imua but never really got to hear his musicianship and learn a little bit about his background. Learning about Cory and Kalei who are also great musicians makes me now a fan! I’m an old school musician from the aina who moved back in 1989. Performed in the Waikiki scene from the ‘70s till I left. My wife and I are part of the Ke Kui Foundation which puts on the 4 Days Of Aloha Festival in Vancouver Wa. It was our 22nd Anniversary . I mention this because Imua was one of the performers along with Justin Young backed up by the Hammah Band (great musicians). It’s awesome to know that Hawaii is in good hands with these caliber of musicians who are so talented. Mahalo HMS for featuring this great segment of your shows!!
Holy moly Imua Garza....What a voice 😮 Pure honey. Incredible Musician and musicianship. That first song was incredible. The chaotic 3 at a time solo was epico.... Europa...Wow 😮
this was the best podcast yet in my mind....such humble beautiful playing and the respect shown by all you guys who are world class musicians. it just made me smile and a perfect reminder of why I love music and the sunshine it can bring. thanks for the great work ! magnificent content each and every pod. sending love and good vibes from Michigan
So much positivity and damn amazing soloing, where I literally had to watch it a few times again, Wow. Imua, thanks for the set and chat, amazing. This channel is the ultimate. Have a great week
So good. The chaos solo was so good. And all the rest, as well. You have to love the process… On my third listen, Royal Hawaiian Hotel has been circling the inside of my head for days now… Thank you Guys, for some awesome music.
Decades ago, Moornah Simeona owned and operated a health spa at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. If you don’t already know about her, you can read about her on Wikipedia, or from your local elders. During that time, Tarika Lea apprenticed under Morrnah for about three years. Later on, Tarika owned and operated the first state-licensed massage school in Fairbanks, Alaska. I was one of Tarika’s students, later a teacher at her school, while owning and operating my own healing center. Recently relocated to near “the 9th island” of Las Vegas, NV, I’m proud to continue sharing the legacy and lineage of Morrnah’s teachings in these times. Your song, “The Royal Hawaiian Hotel” stirred stories and memories that had been dormant for a while. Thank you.
Before you buy the 60”, you might want to look at what else is available. A friend recently purchased an 85” for not much more than the 60”. Of course, quality and features are factors. Cheers!
I've never heard or Imua before, but wow, what a beautiful and humble soul! Love that he spoke openly about his Christian life a little, and nice to know he is a believer! You guys are all great and very talented musicians.
Another FANTASTIC session. It's such an uplifting experience to see you all having such great fun together and how you all get such joy from performing and broadcasting such beautiful music together. Thank you for sharing your talent with us all.
Thank you Imua, Corey and Kalei. This has got to be one of the most inspirational music channels on TH-cam! You guys are fantastic musicians. The spontaneity of your music is incredible. The channel is on my “to watch” list now.
Aloha from Sydney, thanks as always for the dose of joy, wonderful music, love and life lessons from Imua. Looking forward to seeing you in store in Haleiwa in a couple of weeks. Don't sell all the 'Oli tenors before I arrive 🤙🏻
Dude you still awesome, I remember your music from high school, brah amazing mahalo nui loa for da awesome jam sesh, really helps with the home sick😅, aloha 🤙🏽
44:05 "Chaos Solo" (use this timestamp to replay it a thousand times for your own enjoyment) That was so beautiful and creative, as well as the whole podcast, not only the majestic playing from all of you guys, but the conversation was so joyful and sparkly (i'm out of precise and meaningful adjectives at this time of the day 😂, sorry). It felt like meeting some of my oldest friends and just enjoying being there in silence. Just listening. You know what i mean? It's 1:13 AM in Mexico as i watch this, i told myself: Ok, i'll watch just a few minutes before sleeping and i couldn't stop til the end. This was my favorite episode ever. Thank you so much for creating these beautiful and inspirational videos for all of us!
It is awesome, Corey and Kalei, how You learn and play like this every week... Wow! How is your learning and playing process? And another topic I wish You talk about in a future podcast: the precise tuning of an ukelele in every single fret, is a challenge for the luthier, right? I mean, the short scale instruments are harder to get precise in the tuning. Greetings from València, Spain
Looks like the dropbox link is not working. Would love to check out those charts! I've casually known about Imua for years but was blown away by his playing in this episode. Trying to learn his arrangement of sweet memory now!
Sorry for the delay. I will put it up at the ukulele review soon but you can download them here for now. www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/lhmas76w6qowuusefhotq/AHGWWGbK4j6fNuImSVCyguI?rlkey=81brfexjad63t2t7vx8fg8ank&st=essjtkv8&dl=0
