Introduction to Bioethics: Bioethics Across Borders

On April 15th, 2014, the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University launched the world's first Introduction to Bioethics MOOC on the edX platform. Each of the course's six weeks opens with a TED-style talk from Institute director Dr. Maggie Little. This talk focuses on bioethics across borders, examining a cluster of quirky and complex issues that arise due to the interdependent nature of our globalized world, ranging from medical tourism to the issue of global food supply on a rapidly-developing planet.
