i was actually okay with zach thinking taylor only writes about her exes (which isn't true btw) but to claim she ruins these mens' life is so extreme. who's life has she ruined? joe jonas is still selling out stadiums with his brothers, john mayer is on a massive tour, jake gyllenhall is one of the most respected actors even now, calvin harris is still making music and has been successful, harry styles is literally on top of the world, taylor lautner is doing so well in his life, tom hiddleston is successful as an actor and well respected, joe alwyn is doing great for himself in his career. who's life has she ruined by just writing songs? and before anyone says anything about the number of guys she's dated then let me tell you, she's 33 and it's completely normal to date around until you find someone you want to settle with. so yes, zac's comment was misogynistic.

I think it's pretty valid for someone who isn't a real fan and doesn't follow he closely to see how much power and influence she has and to say that dating her is a scary position to be in. I don't think he means some kind of double standard. Shutting down any criticism encourages close mindedness, it doesn’t allow a person to reflect if the criticism is valid and if it is to be able to learn from it. While I do think it's a misogynistic double-standard to claim that "Taylor only ever writes songs that shit on her exes", I don't that's exactly what Zach was alluding to. It seems more like "she has a lot of wild fans, who will probably shit on the guy if their relationship turns sour". Which is undoubtedly true.
And this isn't just "any sort of criticism". One not-so-great take and chatters/Reddit were instantly slapping him with the label of 'misogynistic'. Something that, especially in this day and age, can be a life ruining title. I don't think Zach deserves that title and has every right to defend himself against it.

If Travis doesn't want a song written about him, don't fuck her over or just don't date a songwriter. Its literally her job. Taylor writes more than just break up songs, but because her biggest hits are about how men have wronged her, that's how the world views every single one of her potential relationships ending. Most artists write about their relationships but Taylor gets so much criticism for it, mostly by men. If she were a man and writing the songs she writes, she wouldnt get as much of the criticism. Don't say you don't have anything against Taylor, but then say something that indicates she's vindictive for no reason.

only time I’m glad I knew some football, not even for the game, but because since the concert in July, every NFL interview he does has been teasing him about Taylor, and he’s been super respectful despite being a meme. the banter is usually about teaching him “game” about how to actually catch her (since he’s a tight end, aka catching the ball is his main thing). that’s why the announcers were flabbergasted at her actually showing up, because no one thought he could pull it off 😭
