    I bought one and have a couple thousand rounds of various ammo through it and no issues. The barrel is a 4150 chrome, moly, vanadium,
    Nitride barrel. It’s button cut. It has a M 16 bolt carrier group in which is nice to so it’s meant to go. I put a Geissele 3 gun trigger in it and it is an amazing rifle.

    IWI being what they are im surprised they didn't offer the rifle with a CHF CL barrel

      I wonder now if the report that Harrisburg had gotten a rotary hammer mill to make barrels was true? Hard to believe that barrels from a different manufacturer would be cheaper than what they could make on their own if that were so.

    • @JohnZ556
      @JohnZ556 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eventually IWI US will prob make CHF barrels, it's a high capital product, and now they don't have to produce CHF barrels within the US unless they want to further expand their US manufacturing capability.
      Plus, I think people buying an $899 MSRP mil-brand AR-15 would likely value quality/reliability, furniture/ergo/modularity, and accuracy way more than the difference of CHF vs. button-cut.
      So going for CHF would benefit almost 0% of the intended customer in terms of actual performance unless somehow their CHF barrels produces way better accuracy, which I don't see from their other products with CHF barrel.

    Once you start getting into CHF barrels, you start getting into the 1300+ range. You can’t really go wrong with these IWIs. I’m sure IWI could have produced them with the CHF. It maybe they’re trying to do something comparable to Aero, such they’re doing so well and they’re practically bomb proof. They are very similar to Aero precision

    I was lucky enough to find one of these brand new in the Urban BDU finish. If you're one of those gun-elitist people, don't buy this gun because it will make your 2500 dollar overpriced AR with all the same parts look like a piece of shit. The only thing on the gun that is junk in my opinion is the mil-spec charging handle which is junk on any AR. The rest is all perfectly fine to leave alone. Gun runs flawlessly and in over 500 rounds, I have not had a single malfunction using winchester 55gr 5.56 FMJ the whole time. Very Pleased. Very accurate and consistent. IWI has excellent customer service too and they got me a barrel wrench out overnight when I wanted to upgrade my barrel for long range. The grip and stock are excellent b5 parts and the rail is very nice. Everything fits together solid and unlike a lot of the rattle traps out there, this gun does not move or rattle AT ALL. I think I'll soon be taking my son to get one for him as well. These are worth quite a bit more than the price alludes to.

    It’s a good, if not great rifle. Pretty much all of the internals are standard, meaning no “advanced” pieces of ar parts that offer something enhanced. It’s got a regular trigger, regular bcg, etc. Its pros are that it comes from an actual war gun making company that has battle tested products and can be trusted that although the parts are standard, they are rugged and reliable. The fantastic reliability comes first, and the second boon is the furniture - full length mlok, custom grip, sopmod stock. Relative for all this is a $899 msrp rifle (which is really like 800 on the streets) and you get at least a B+ or A- from me.

    People dont realize they are only paying for the name on most AR parts or accessories. They think a spikes tactical lower is better then anderson when all actuality the actual lower was forged by a totally different company then any of the ones you know. Its only a few companys that actually forge the stuff we buy. Then someone buys that from them engraves their name on it jacks the price up sky high saying its the best its the greatest when really its all about the same. Nkw dont get wrong internals like the BCG and trigger groups there can be a huge difference in those but as far as barrels and reciever etc its all the same shit

      Even if 2 companies get lower blanks from the same source, it's up to the company (for example: spikes tactical) to machine the lower to the final dimensions and drill the holes etc. So it really does make a difference what company you buy from and what their quality control is, and what dimensions/prints they are machining off of.

    It is a terrible time to buy firearms and ammo. You're going to spend way more than you have to, especially before a major election and amid the pandemic, shutdowns, civil unrest, rioting, and looting. If you absolutely have to buy to protect yourself for uncertain times and emergencies right now, buy used, and buy from private sellers online, one on one in person in a public place, or at gun shows. Stop buying $300-500 ARs for close to a grand, $500 Glocks for nearly double the price, pump action shotguns for double the price, 50 cents and up per round for 9mm and 5.56/.223, and $2 and up per round for 12g shotgun shells.
