    I really love that this album seems to going to be "simpler" than most of the instrumental stuff thats out there. No over the top 1000bpm nonstop soloing, instead nice licks and riffs you can listen to without having to concentrate like you are landing a plane.

    This album so far has an incredibly vocal quality to the lead composition. It doesn't feel like "guitar instrumental" music, the leads really fulfill the role of the singer in a way that I haven't heard in much of this genre. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!

      That’s how I felt about the last album and the one before that. That’s almost exactly what I tell everyone when I introduce them to intervals. It’s like the guitar licks are the vocal lines and melodies. It’s brilliant

    • @tylerm8145
      @tylerm8145 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Every instrumental intervals album has sounded like that to me honestly (shit even AVW too, during instrumental sections and when the guitar gets playful with the vocals...). Increasingly so over time imo, but even In Time had some incredible vocal qualities to the leads. Aaron has one of the best senses to write that type of shit in my opinion.

      @@kylemiller4999 It's hard to tell because he's such a versatile artist. He goes from melodic rock to metal, fussion, pop... I personally felt in love with his first album "There's hope" and I still think it's his best work so far and probabbly one of my favorite pieces of music of all time. Listen to his first album from start to finish. I'm pretty sure you will find a lot of things to like there. What a solo! I've been following Marco for almost 10 years now, and I think is probably one of the three more influential guitarists of the decade.
    I Hear his influence in bands like Intervals, Plini, Chon or Poliphya, and also in almost every new soloist, and i think none of these bands would have sounded the same without him.
    I think he deserves more credit, and at this point, I put his name next to Guthrie's or Petrucci's, in terms of influence.
    The song is great, and Aaron also did a great job, i really enjoy the direction that Interval has taken in the two last records :)

    I've always considered this masterpiece to be mistitled. I see it as more of a "breaking-through" song more than "string theory". The overall feel reminds me of my decision to leave my toxic/bad decisions and relationships behind me as I press forward towards a more positive and rewarding life ahead of me. I won't go into details, but there are parts that remind me of the beginning when I accepted the struggles, to the point where I stood up for myself, to the point I fought, then realized my inner peace, then overcame all of the struggles, and then at the end, the intense bass strums when I struggled to fight the battle to go back to that darkness, then the sudden end that cut that off and made me realize I'm better off without. I will always call this song "The Breakthrough" even though it's "String Theory." To those of you struggling with self-acceptance, you have the ability within you to make yourself feel loved and worthwhile. It's not an easy journey, I won't lie. The best things that life have to offer will never come without trial. Keep going. You will find your inner peace and your paradise. Whether it's with someone else, or with yourself, it's out there. Keep going my friends, and find that love that you so god-damn deserve. Peace and Love to you all!
