So helpful!!! I just started the buying process for my first house and THIS is what I’ve been looking for!!! I wanted to see how the peel and stick tiles hold up. Thank you ❤
Make sure you take off the molding guys. Make sure the tiles are against the edges. Mines shifted but only were the cut was not too tight agains the wall under the molding.
This (?) Is about the cabinets is the contact paper still holding up🤔 I'm moving into a unit soon & it has the light brown wooden outdated cabinet & I wanted to do the method you used
Can ask how much they cost per pack? And as for the gaps find some corking a similar colour and smear it in the gaps or even grout in a tube and add a little food colour or coffee. Or even just a similar colour sharpie after you wiped away the excess grout, then colour after dried ❤ I love the colour of the floor btw 😊
Lay down those THICK and really hard largeposter board duct taped together WELL, orrrrrr thin plywood drilled together from Home Depot/Lowes underneath first to even your floors a bit more then go ahead and lay the planks on top, just have to secure the boards to your original flooring in some way… but I’ve seen videos on that!!
i wish sooo much i could do this. 😞 i see so many "renter friendly" things but i would literally get kicked out 😩 im not even allowed to put up peel and stick contact paper anywhere. nothing. 😞 im wondering for people who did things like this- did you ask them for permission? if not what do you do when they do the yearly inspections? if the management of my place saw it id be in trouble but im so sick of living in an UGLY apartment 😭
Oh no your building management is way too strict 😩 I’m sorry 😢 I only asked about painting I didn’t mention any other changes I planned… I’m using the “i didn’t know” philosophy… also this isn’t an apartment complex so the landlord hasn’t stopped by since I moved in to my knowledge … only service/maintenance individuals
“They’re under the rugs” is such a mooood! 😂
😅😅😂
Thank you for being transparent can’t wait to do this in my apartment
Good luck!!! Share your results in a message on instagram if you’re willing (I’m nosy lol)
If the planks create gaps later on, keep some leftover planks on hand and simply peel off the offenders and replace them with new, fitting planks.
Yes I’m in year four with these and I’ve started to notice in the open spaces, thankfully I kept a box

I plan on installing these and adding quarter round to fill the gap.

They were about $15 per box when I purchased but that’s 4 years ago , last time I checked the price it was about $17 per box

I think silver spruce… it’s said somewhere in the initial video 😇

Isn't vinyl supposed to be waterproof...? Just got mine today and we realized we can't install it because our floors are uneven...

I think they brand you used is the issue. It still looks nice though.
You will need glue to make sure they dont move
I didn’t want to use glue since it’s a rental 😅
