Can you imagine being a young man working to improve your station in life and being awarded a scholarship from Oprah Winfrey? Talk about a vote of confidence. The only thing that comes close to this is the story that Chadwick Bozeman shared about receiving a scholarship from Denzel Washington and he shared it on a national stage in front of the man himself. Chadwick was so humble and grateful and when they showed Denzel in the audience his expression was one of true happiness and pride. Really a beautiful moment.
who wouldn't cry at a moment like this! I love oprah! still, thumbs up if you think having Idina Menzel along for a duet would have made this absolute perfection
While it was great that they had Kristen Chenoweth at the United Center to sin this song at the taping of Oprah's last shows, it would have been great if Idina Menzel was there and they sang the song together as a duet like they did on Broadway, and for the recording on the cd. Was her schedule that busy that she couldn't appear, that would have made it even worth going there to sit through a 2 hour taping at the United Center for 2 seprate shows.
What a beautiful moment. Tons of credit goes to the producers of her show for creating that moment. WOW
One of the most beautiful moments ever on TV...

At 2:22 Oprah's like "Oh shit not this song Kristin.. not this song! Don't kill me!" She knew she was going to sob on national TV again lol.

The song is so beautiful. But "It well may be we will never meet again"? I know I should not understand lyrics literally.
