Have you thought about cutting down the side of the page protector to create a tab portion instead of just cutting it off? I had tried cutting the page protectors in half to store my uncounted sets, but was frustrated by the open sides...you’ve solved that problem! I think leaving the strip with the holes might solve the flap problem. Will give it a try tomorrow when I can get back out to my studio...first windstorm of the season is keeping me in the house at the moment. Thanks for the inspiration.
I love this! Thank you for posting and showing how to make the pockets. I bought the Simon Says Stamp plastic stamp bags and like them, but they don't work for my taller stamp sets like some of the Tim Holtz stamps. I will make these for them since they are 8.5" tall. Yay!!!!
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing. I was trying to find something online today and they are very expensive. Because I would need many packs. This is just awesome! Thanks again 😊
Oh rats...wish I'd seen your video before I purchased a package of 100 pockets (and used some). At least I can save from now on. What a great idea, Char!!! I'll be making these for my sister too, who's just started acquiring stamps and dies - she'll love this too! You're very appreciated!
Great idea. I had the same issue with those cases too and totally switched my stamps to the pockets, but only bought the pockets when on sale for 50% off. It was chore, but I really like the new system...I'm just trying to find small storage containers instead of having everything in one box because of the weights and weak wrists...but found the perfect box.
I found the Anna Griffin boxes at TJ's & Marshall's a few months ago and they fit the pockets perfectly and pretty. My craft things are stored in my living/dining area, so I'm trying to avoid all the plastic bins on the table tops and use them inside cupboards and my pantry.
I have some of those cardboard cards that are for putting in a comic book pocket, to keep the comic book from bending. I use them to wrap my fabric around, like little bolts. I think they would be good to put into pockets with the stamps, because they are a bit stiff, and will make the pocket firmer, and stand up better in the bin. They are slightly glossy, too, and I wonder if stamps would stick to them! I am going to try it. TY for your ideas. Now if I just had the gumption to inventory my stamps online. I am overwhelmed by that idea.
I’m sure you’ve probably already completed your organizing project, but, for any viewers who may need a (free!) source of reinforcement card for stamp & die pockets, look to your mailbox. I periodically get substantially large ADVERTISEMENTS - for furnace cleaning, or drive and pool surround replacement, or … you name it. But, of course, T H E VERY BEST ONES are the political ones!! They’re always a bigger size, AND thicker than most.
I think if you return the cases to a Stampin up demonstrator they will replace the cases that aware warped. Great idea for your stamps. When I finish the Avery Elle pockets I am going to try that idea. TFS oh by the way you can buy the wheel tool that memory keepers make for your wood burning tool that the fuse has.
I use three ring binders with a separate list...I can either flip, through the binders or look at the list. I am a stamp a Holocaust! I put a number on each stamp which corresponds the list and codes the stamps...floral, kids, etc. so far so good. Love the sealed pocket!
Also, you can the page protectors and use a glue dot on them to a piece of cardstock and use those in place of the acetate sheets because the stamps will cling to the page protector.
I have the fuse tool and have used the wheel tip. I think I have the pointed one. It seals and cuts apart at same time? I've made pockets for my sellable greeting cards. I want to do this for my stamps also. And put the dies on back side with magnetic sheets cut from vents covers I get at home improvement store.
Hi Charlene. Thank you for this video. One question you mention a Fuse Tool is that the American equivalent to what we call a Soldering Iron? If so i know whoes cupboard i will be going through later. Hugs and Luvs xxx Wendy
Thank you. Today while sorting out a few things i found some A4 stamp storing sheets I didn't realise I had so many, I am going to try and cut them in half and make a binder for them. I follow a lovely talented lady called Ivy Ling she makes quite a lot of beautiful journal and notebook covers so will follow her video while making it. Hugs and Loves Wendy xxx
Are they safe for the stamps? I know some plastics cause your stamps to disfigure or" melt". I love this idea and want to try it, I just don't want to lose my stamps. I appreciate your input.
Oh Please, OH PLEASE!!! Tell me where I can find that "Music Staff" Stamp closest to you in the opening shot of this video!!! I've been looking for a "BLANK" one just about that size to no avail. You've not noted an email address or website in your comments so I truly hope you see this!!
Why are your cases warping? I have had mine for about 4 years and they have not warped yet. Maybe you are keeping them in too hot a temp or have them where hot air hit them. You are still spending money to reorganize your stamps. Mine stay on a shelf in their DVD cases just fine.
Great idea! Thank you for sharing💕
Thanks for the great and money saving idea.

I found a really good plasic bin at the .99 cent store. Wish it was a bit taller but it works just the same.

Thank you so much you are a saver🥰🌷
This seems like a great idea so I am going to give it a try! tfs :)
Brilliant! Tfs!
great idea. I've been considering the wood burning tool as a cheaper alternative to the fuse tool.tfs.
It works perfectly!
I have both and they are as good as each other.

A soldering gun might get too hot but you could try it. I'm using a wood burning tool.

tmlambert33 I have had them packaged in this plastic for almost a year and all my stamps look the same.
You might be thinking of acetate sheets with cling rubber stamps. The "cling" part will fuse with acetate and you can't separate them.
TFS Love Hugs and Good Thoughts Teresa
You are so welcome!
IKEA has the perfect size open container.
