    Lots of good tips. I would drape a drop cloth over the fence so you don't get a shadow from the overspray by the paper

    I like to use vinyl stucco tape it is usually red but one time it was yellow. It will stick to an old fence a roof or concrete better because it is so sticky and when it is warm it will confirm to the surface better. It is about $5.50 a roll in 2" if you get it at the stucco supply store. Any where else it is $10 a roll.

    What’s the difference between the green, blue, yellow and orange frog tape?

    • @tnrcleancare7847
      @tnrcleancare7847 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      blue is my fave. so blue and green frog tape contain the paint block technology polymer, Orange is the same as the blue and green except it does not have the paint block polymer so it is production grade, and yellow has the polymer but it's for delicate surfaces. Hope this helps. green Is roughly 7 to 10 bucks a roll. Blue is 4 for 25 bucks. yellow is 10 bucks a roll and oranges 4 for 20.

    -- putting my painters pride to the side and reaching out .
    Rig : nova 395
    Hose : 50 ft w/ whip
    Tip : HEA
    Filter : 60 mesh ( both rig and gun filters are clean
    Paint : It don’t matter what I use it happens with every product I’ve been using lately
    MY ISSUE : start and start points showing up As well as tails in my spray pattern , and light areas its like I’ve never sprayed a day in my life .
    I test my pattern make sure the edge is feathered nice , I overlap my spray pattern ( positive I do) so this is just not making any sense to me I’ve done this for years and years and more years never had a issue . The only thing I’ve changed is the tip I use I went from the graco ( black tips) to using HEA . I love how my pressure did not have to be set so high to achieve a good pattern , as well as far less overspray i don’t want to go back to them pressure/ material hogging tips which i might also add have become crazy expensive compared to HEA TIPS . What gets me is I overlap so why the light areas, I set pattern with beautiful feathered edge so why the tails and the lap marks , heck I’ve never even had a issue with that until I started watching videos and hearing guys talk about that issue and how to correct it . Honestly didn’t even know it was a thing as I never had that issues now that I’m more cautious about it i can’t seem to avoid them . I want the HEA TIP TO WORK FOR
    ME BUY I GUESS MY OPTION IS TO JUST GO BACK TO USING THE BLACK TIPS. Other than that choice do you know why I’m getting these results as these are your go to tips ??

      If the only thing you have changed is the tips I would say that would be the issue. Also try adjusting your pressure and see if it helps?

      I work for a paint company here in Florida. We sprayed a house Friday, one of the guys was going behind the lead guy doing what he called back rolling as he sprayed it is this common

    so uhm when u do outside house spraying is that always gonna be waterbased or mostly oil based ? since u dont like oil paints ? im guessing its all water based! but what u do if its gonna rain halfway in the process ? :P

    would you spray (airless spray my machine is Graco 395 ultimate) stain a fence with 20 mph winds? Im in a predicament all week is gonna be windy as shit. idk what to do. big ass 500 linear foot fence both sides... In my experience the masking plastic is a wind sail and overspray cloud is a liability. just trying to see what you would do Chris in this situation. I feel like I gotta wait.

    • @Idahopainter
      @Idahopainter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Never spray oil in wind

    • @tnrcleancare7847
      @tnrcleancare7847 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Idahopainter 🤣 So it's a little while later but I saw you just commented, So I did end up waiting until the wind calm down which was like 6 days later. And the project turned out perfect. Customer Was very happy, But I ended up having no choice but to wait. There was a section that was between the houses that was too close, and I couldn't mask it off with plastic because of the wind of course, So I just called it off.

      Buy a clean shot valve (you can get them online at Amazon). It eliminates spits and also allows you to spray at any angle.
