Wow, this guide is incredibly helpful!👍 You’ve made it so much easier to understand the differences between the series and features. I love how you break down everything from affordability to luxury. Great job on this informative video!✨
We have had three Bosch dishwashers. I'm glad we saved the old utensil basket from our last one because the new 800 one is worthless. The 800's drawers seem more solid than the 500 we had and easier to move in and out. I'm not impressed with the "crystal dry" technology...frankly, I can't see that it's much of an improvement, so not worth the extra cost. We don't use the aps--the door selections are all you need. Also, if you, like me, believe powdered detergent is cheaper and just as effective, you will need to watch out that you keep it inside the container, and not on the "runners" for the little door that slides closed, otherwise the door will not close. My husband had to take the thing apart to get it to work again. It appears to be designed exclusively for pods.
I just spent 10-12 hours trying to figure out the Bosch confusing model numbers line-up. Wish I had seen your video and cheat sheet first - that would have eliminated a number of clarifications I researched. The Bosch website left me more confused and it took me a couple hours to realize they use a different model number for every variant of the same model depending on finish, handle choice, and other options. I can understand that helps on their side, but it left me so confused, I started looking at other brands.
What series is a Bosch dishwasher if the model number is spv68c73uc? I don't understand what series that is or how to read that model number? Thank you for your help in advance 🙏
Almost every company does that now. Stainless will often have an S at the end (for "silver"), Black a B, White a W. It's not unique to Bosch in the world of appliances. All you need to do with Bosch is decide which Series number you want. I'd only buy 500 or above, not the 300. Once you know the Series the rest is mostly just deciding on which type of handle style on the front door you like best. You can also select and compare the different models you're interested in on the Bosch web site.
We just bought the 300 one & hope we’re not disappointed. Not sure we like not having buttons, just a touch pad but guess we’ll get used to it, also trying to change settings rather confusing also. Wish the manual had better explanations
I just got the Bosch 800. Well, I love it. Things I noticed and don't care for ... is You have to open the door pretty wide to have it stay open to set the cycle for washing or use both hands one to hold open the door and the other to set cycles. It also makes a loud click when I shut the door to fully close it..tech said this will get a little quieter ! I also really miss not have a dish cloth hanger in front as my old machine had. 4 things...sure hope it really can clean up a lasagna pan I will see :)
Congrats on your 800 series! You will love it. For the door, that can actually be adjusted by the installer, it's called 'door tension.' Ideally, the door should stay steady at any angle. Hope that helps and let us know how the lasagna pan goes!
Great video!!!! I am targeting an 800 series and I got two options shx78b75uc or shp78cm6n. Both are 800 series, the first one is $200 cheaper and includes installation. What are the differences between them? They look alike, but what else am I getting for those $200?
Do you know of anyone having issues with the 500 series when the door pops open warping the cabinetry on either side? (I have high gloss white cabinets and am replacing a panel ready dishwasher because the steam affected the door panel...) This was a very informative review, thanks
Is the air drying optional on the 500. As I understand, it’s not. Friends had the mechanism fail that opens the door and instead replaced it with the 300. We had the old model 800 which I believe is closer to the new model 300. The cabinet seals failed on ours after 8 years causing water to leak into the bottom. They said it was likely due to the heat of the sanitation setting gradually warping the metal and creating a gap in the seals.
Thanks to a comment below, I'm thinking ahead to ask if the 800 series feature of door automatically opening can be turned off so that cabinetry won't warp from the hot steam. Is this truly automatic or an option that can be turned off? Thanks!

Hi there, that falls under the 800 series of Bosch dishwashers. It's ADA compliant at 18". Here are the full specs: www.designerappliances.com/bosch-spv68c73uc.html
Can someone answer me please what do you call someone who actually designed appliances and I'm not talking about the look and features I'm talking about the circuitry and the internal mechanics
Hi,I like your videos,,I believe my bread slicer would be a perfect fit for your audience. Would you be interested in discussing a potential collaboration?🥰

How many models of benchmark series are there? Do they require water softner adder too like the 800 series?
Thanks!!! I was definitely confused

is the insulation visible or built-in to the dishwasher?

What happened to the 6 series? Australia has the 6 series.
Nice review!!!

Only the 500 series door pops open!
