Ladies, don’t be afraid to get older. I’m 63 years old, and have never been happier in my life. My physical appearance has changed quite a bit over the years, but I have peace in my heart. Even if you get all these surgeries, you’re still gonna age and get older only you’re gonna look like a freakish monster. Many plastic surgeons have no ethics as it is all about the money.
I wanted plastic surgery when I was young. The surgeon I went to who was highly regarded said, 'I will not perform surgery on you. You do not need this surgery and will live to regret it.' I totally appreciate what he said, especially now. Young people are so impressionable and easily manipulated into believing they are not good enough. It is just so sad and can even be career-ending. It takes growing older to gain perspective. I was saved by my doctor's opinion/advice and am very grateful to him.
When I was 16 I was working and it was the only time in my life, so far, I had money before I had kids.. I went to a cosmetic place and was inquiring about lip fillers.. they took a picture of my lips and she then showed me that I could use a shot on top and 2 on the bottom, it wouldve costed about $700 bucks and would need redoing every 6 months or so .. after I left I luckily realized how silly it all was. But I went home, over lined my lips like crazy and put on thick red lipstick so my lips looked like clown lips.. went downstairs and showed my mum.. ha! Well she freaked out! Thinking I actually did it, I'll never forget the shocked look on her face at my giant fake clowny lips.. it was so funny! I'm 40 now and luckily my daughter, and son, they're both pretty well adjusted and hopefully they are secure enough in themselves not to obsess over their bodies , so far so good!

I don't know the field well, but to be honest I'm actually shocked plastic surgeons can go to such extreme levels.
I'm a dentist myself. If a young patient with overall nice teeth wanted me to crown (file down) all her teeth just so she'd have snow-white porcelain teeth, I would refuse it. Not just because that seems wrong to me, but because I may also get in trouble with the board; that could be considered unnecessary treatment. At the end of the day I'm not allowed to commit malpractice, even if the patient wants it.

I've seen this actress in a couple of things and she was so pretty. Now she looks like a wax figure and very unnatural looking.

Remember Jennifer Gray, an actress who achieved overnight fame starring in the lead role as Baby in Dirty Dancing? She was a beautiful girl, but after Dirty Dancing she had a nose job and it ended her career. Even though her new nose didn't look bad, she never looked like herself after that and that's what made her stand out because she was beautiful and her nose gave her character and was charming. Could you imagine Barbra Streisand with a different nose? No, it's part of her attractiveness. She unique and beautiful just as God made her.

I especially feel that about plastic surgeons who perform strictly cosmetic procedures on girls under 20. Our bodies aren't even fully developed until mid-20s, what are you even doing?!? At least wait until a patient is fully developed before changing things!

I’ve had plastic surgery about 30 years ago, I’m 60 now. It was to fix my nose that the doctor said was broken at birth or when I was an infant. It created a bump on the bridge and my septum was to one side blocking on side of my nose. I was actually a teaching case at a hospital and got a huge discount.
It does look better than before and I can sleep without apnea. I can’t imagine getting a new face. It’s just too much. It’s the inside that needs to be healed not the outside on so many young women now.

Priscilla Presley's plastic surgery should have been a lesson to all of us.
She had fillers that was silicone for cars done at a home party. The "dr" could not get the real fillers and substituted the silicone. She's had drs try to correct it, but it settles and hardens.

You should check the last ""the boys"" announcement she isn't wearing any make up in it and yes she did change a lot, and if you saw the show you can easily see the differences in her facial features and expressions btw seasons. It takes decades to loose buccal fat in the cheeks not days. Lips don't inflate, nose gets a little bigger with age not smaller, pointier and higher.

I hate this trend. I'm 49 and have never done botox or any procedure. I want to age and embrace what makes me unique. At times I feel insecure but rather than run to the knife I try to search for the beauty that I have inside and squash those thoughts. These young girls seem to only value their outside appearance which is going to ultimately be the demise of our society. They don't even want to have children because of the possibility it may "ruin" their body. At what point are we all going to look the same???? It's sad!
I'm 50 and feel the same. I'm aging naturally and it does make me feel insecure when I look at pics of myself, etc. But I do the same, renew my mind and refocus on the beauty inside and serving others. That's the only way to age gracefully.

I am 68 and it is a road to acceptance that the body itself is a living thing that keeps our spirits going. And I go through periods where I would like to find a way to make myself look younger. I at times grieve the young body I once had, but the truth is nothing and no one stays the same. Accepting that change as inevitable is the best thing we can do for ourselves. What I don't like is how marketing dictates what beauty looks like. And the truth is a lot of people look beautiful who have different faces, different features, different shapes. I notice these Trends on what they think might be beautiful, and I wish it would stop and embrace the diversity of features because the marketing causes especially young people a lot of harm

Part of why I love movies from the 80s and 90s is because the actors and actresses looked real. They did have perfect teeth, the flaws made them unique and beautiful. The flaws make them real and relatable. Now everyone wants to look like the filters put on their phones.

I thought it was just me, but I’m so happy you’re talking about this. Why can’t people age naturally? It’s life. You’re living life. Embrace it. I don’t think a bit of Botox or restalyn to make you feel a bit better is bad, but there’s something weird going on with the extremes. My daughter is 36 and she’s already worried about her dark circles. So instead of plastic surgery, I bought her a red light mask. She’s happy with that thank goodness. She’s such a pretty girl, but I think she needs to add on a few pounds. That will fill out her face more. She’s 100 lbs soaking wet,although 5 ft. But I think 5 pounds will help her. These extreme obsessions have to stop. It’s not normal. When I saw Lauren Sanchez, I thought isn’t Bezos embarrassed to be seen with her? But, he looked proud. 🤦🏼♀️

As a 63 year old woman, who had a VERY droopy eyelid and developing turkey jowl, I can attest that plastic surgery at age 58 was a wonderful decision. My main request to the plastic surgeon was that I look natural and that no one would really notice. I have never regretted my decision and no one other than my immediate family can tell that I did anything. Does it make me look a little younger? Yes! However, it doesn’t look weird. The need for “trendy “ looks and unnatural surgery is very regrettable.

My friend had her eyes done. Medical insurance covered it because her droopy lids were impeding vision. She looks wonderful, very natural. Research your doctor well.
I agree, I had my eye bags removed and droopy eyelids lifted. I was thrilled with the results, over 20 years later no eye bags or droopy lids like an old hagered women. But the best part is no one knew. A nip and tuck is not bad, I just wanted to look like me not some old hag at 50ish. or a weird blow fish. LOL
That's exactly what they all say... it's to fix something. Like 95% people claiming nose jobs are to fix a deviated septum or other malady so it gets paid for by insurance. It is almost always VANITY.

It's not just the grotesque overly emphasized plastic surgery, it's also the need for these woman to get covered with tattoos and piercing all over what once was a beautiful feminine figure.

This is so sad. With daughters who are 22 and 19, I am so glad that when they were very young, social media wasn’t as much a thing. All of this ridiculous plastic surgery was not a thing. I'm pretty hands-off when it comes to what adults want to do with their body, but it might not be a bad idea to require a psych eval before elective plastic surgery. Not for fixing a deviated septum or for true plastic surgical needs like reconstruction after an accident or injury, but for healthy people of any age getting such life-changing procedures.

I live in Pakistan and consider myself fortunate to have gotten so many opportunities in my professional life and have many accomplishments but its been a tough ride... having to deal with the small mentality of ppl and being judged by ppl because i didnt put too much effort into my appearance...it sucks honestly knowing that people always judged me more based on my appearance than my accomplishments... Megyn isn't contradicting herself. She said this kind of exaggerated complete overhaul of someone's face is disturbing. I mean this actress looks nothing like hrt former self. She'd need a whole new passport and I.D. She now looks like a kind of artificial waxwork doll, like the female characters you see in online games and in anime. There IS something android-like, artificial and "uncanny valley" about her now. They're all beginning to look the same like a production line - Kylie Jenner, Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin/Bieber and tons of Instagram models.
Plastic surgery DOES make a lot of people look better. We're just seeing these awful examples like Madonna and so on.
Plenty of celebs have had tweaks that you just didn't know about, like supermodel Christy Turlington (nose job very early in her career - I've seen a teenaged photo of her) actresses like Scarlett Johansson (subtle nose job) Jodie Foster (nose job) Blake Lively (nose, teeth, eyelid lift) Jennifer Aniston (nose job) supermodel Carla Bruni (nose job, possibly other procedures) Marilyn Monroe (nose job, eyelid procedure, something done to her chin) Nicole Kidman ( lip fillers, eyelid lift or brow lift) Kate Beckinsale ( brow lift, possibly recent cheek implants etc.) Lisa Kudrow (pre-fame nose job - quite obvious - eyelid lift when she got older) The list goes on and on really.
Obviously Bella Hadid would have never become a successful model without her wealthy father bankrolling all her surgeries and procedures. Total face overhaul copying the Carla Bruni look.

She was a beautiful young woman who, unless she had some medical issue that required a plastic surgery solution, did not need any changes to make her more beautiful. I wish these Hollywood types would consider how much they spend on this surgery and commit an equal dollar amount to helping some person from a third world country who is disfigured by a birth defect or accident access some life changing surgery.

In the first picture she looks 20 in the second picture she looks 20 years older coming in at least 40 if not 45. It would appear to me that Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon did her surgery. This is so sad. It is a serious mental Illness that is called Body Dismorphic Disorder. My son has been diagnosed with same. It would be great if you did a peice on this because people dont know about it. Their brains dont see themselves like others do so this happens. Its devastating and they are never satisfied and it often leads to suicide. Please make awareness.

We are living in a Hunger Games world. When I was a teen I wished I had a more narrow nose and bigger boobs. Now at 52 I am so glad I did not do anything. The ability to make changes does not mean it is wise in the long run. I am not against plastic surgery per se, but I am saddened by the trends we are seeing.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing for someone to have something fixed that they don’t like. It’s a fact that there is this obsession with looking like some fake doll and everyone trying to look exactly the same. It’s literally totally changing themselves into something else.
And she looks great. It’s one thing to have a little nip and tuck to turn the clock back, turning yourself into an alien looking freak is quite another.
She said she isn't against all cosmetic surgery, and many get excellent results. She's talking about the unnecessary & ghastly procedures that make people look like freaks; not tightening up sagging eyelids that aging produces, on women who appear on high-definition TV for a living!

Look how defensive she got when the man, who is perfectly capable of ascertaining what is physically attractive on a woman and what is not, proclaimed his dissatisfaction with the looks of a woman due to any plastic surgery. Instead of just listening to a man she vociferously cuts him off. How much better would it have been if she had listened to what he said. I think ladies should take a moment to consider that.

I can't help but see irony in hearing this concern from someone who seems to be increasingly relying on various filler injections to look "younger." It's not helping young girls to have women Megyn's age (which also happens to be my age) relying on unnatural procedures. Even if Megyn doesn't look like The Joker yet (she doesn't), it is only a matter of time before the Faustian bargain becomes manifest and it is too late to simply age gracefully. Sure, it is more tragic when a young girl does this; but it is also sad that Megyn and others in the public eye are so determined not to have a wrinkle appear on their faces. I can't even watch some of these people anymore without cringing... Laura Ingraham, Nicole Kidman, Madonna, and even Laura Logan. It's okay to have wrinkles. I have plenty of them on my forehead and no one recoils in horror when they look at me.

I am with Megyn on this for pointing it out because it was the first thing I noticed during Erin's first scene and it was so distracting throughout the season. I was so put off by having to look at her. I don't agree with certain topics Megyn covers but she was right about this mental illness running rampant in hollywood.

Also plastic surgeons have made videos about her face, confirming that it’s a mixture of weight loss, make up, camera angles and maybe a little filler here and there. They all debunked the plastic surgery rumors.
In that picture, Erin looked to me exactly as she did when the first season of The Boys came out. (2019)
She still looked normal in the first and second seasons of the boys, and they are not "10 years ago"

100% agree M. I had a nose job, and it changed my life. She looks like an Essex template doll. I get tweakments frequently, and i look a thousand times better, and it looks natural because it's a response to volume loss at 45 and to correct yesrs of cysnic acne.

A big part of the problem is that young women (and some men) see the fashion and beauty industries rewarding surgically altered models like Bella Hadid with lucrative contracts, so they want a piece of the pie too.

I've watched the series from the beginning, and it is painfully obvious that she's had work done. It was obvious from season 2 -3. To deny it is just dishonest and silly.

Megan did tread lightly and essentially said that some plastic surgery can improve people's appearance. However, she did make a distinction between people who have some procedures done and those persons who go to the extreme and end up looking somewhat freakish. Whatever surgeries Megan has had, she still looks great, and had you not mentioned anything about it, I'd never have known, because she didn't go overboard with it.
