    Thing to note about Thousand Year Storm, it just says when you cast an instant or sorcery, not when you cast one from you hand. So it will copy instants and sorceries you cast with Isochron Scepter or off of Cascade, Flashback, etc.

    Expansion/Explosion is also a fun card to play in Izzet colors. Being able to fork an instant or sorcery for hybrid Izzet mana comes in handy. One time I copied a Vampiric Tutor. The card can also be a great draw spell and way to deal a ton of burn damage. Overall, the card is underrated.

    My favorite izzet commander is tibor and lumia, I know it’s not good but I love my tibor and lumia deck, super casual, super fun.

This is good with enter the infinite because enter says for you to draw all but the last card in your deck. You play omniscience and then enter and then your whole deck for free. Boom

    Surprised Arjun didn't get a mention. He's probably the most interesting commander imo.
    cantrips and when-you-draw effects.

      @RedBlue4you 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      He's in my Niv deck. Once I get him and Niv out, I can start machine gunning targets, lol. It's a wicked combo. Arjun definitely pulls his weight in card advantage, but he punishes you with a new hand every turn, lol.

      Love that deck. Throw a tefaris puzzle box, sphixes tutaledge and a draw doubler and fucking party. Play basking rootwalla becayse we draw so many cards we habe to foreably stop outselves from all that draw. No izzet commander knows drawing cards like arjun

    In regards to "theres no cards that do what counterflux does" theres two cards i want to point out. One is last word, a counterspell that essentially has split second in that it cannot be countered itself. Granted it doesnt stop storm spells but it wins counterwars outright and the other is swift silence, an azorius counterspell costing five mana that counters all spells on the stack and draws you a card for each. While it can be countered the potential card draw i think makes up for it. Ive literally watched two players get into a counterwar, with like four cards on the stack, dropped swift silence, stopped them both, then refilled my hand

    • @darksteelmenace595
      @darksteelmenace595 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a spell that can counter spells that can't be countered actually: summary dismissal. It exiles all spells on the stack

    I love my Niv Mizzet spellslinger deck, it can do really stupid stuff, sadly spellslinger decks seem to have a mana problem most of the time (Mizzix may be the exception). You always want to play multiple spells per turn, but the mana in those colors is really tight. In a lot of games you need spells like turnabout and mana geyser to really get going.

      There’s multiple things you can do with Izzet. I usually play casual but, what I usually play is creature control.
      1) I built a deck around Dominus of Fealty. This type of play style dominate heavy creature decks. You can use Catch//Release, act of treason, and strong draw power. Chamber of manipulation is really fun. Basically take your opponents creature and beat them down with there own creatures.
      2) Storm is highly competitive but, 0 player interaction. That’s more of a complicated deck then anything else.
      3) There’s a multitude of different spell slinger decks that’s extremely fun to use. Niv-Mizzet, The Firemind with curiosity is a hysterical win con. Whenever you draw a card you just burn target opponent for damage. Extremely fun to play with.
      4). Izzet counter burn decks are also enjoyable. You can use counter cards to burn your opponents. This deck is more based on you as the individual. You also run guttersnipe because why not.
