    ✅Ingredients
    • 1 pound egg noodles
    • 3 tablespoons butter
    • 1/2 white onion, diced
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 3 tablespoons flour
    • 2 cups chicken broth
    • 1 cup milk
    • 2 cups frozen peas
    • 2 (6 ounce cans) solid white albacore tuna
    • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
    • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
    • 2-3 teaspoons olive oil
    ✅Instructions
1️⃣ 00:00:21 - Preheat oven to 400 degrees and lightly grease a 9x13 pan. Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions. Drain and add pasta to prepared pan.
2️⃣ 00:00:37 - Meanwhile, melt butter in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Add in onion and saute 5 to 7 minutes, until softened. Stir in garlic and flour and cook 1 minute. Slowly pour in chicken broth and milk and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
3️⃣ 00:01:26 - Once mixture has thickened, stir in peas, and tuna. Pour over pasta in the 9x13 pan. Add in cheddar cheese and toss to coat.
4️⃣ 00:02:13 - In a small bowl, use a fork to mix together bread crumbs, parmesan, and olive oil. Sprinkle over the pasta.
5️⃣ 00:02:43 - Bake in the preheated oven, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes, until bread crumbs are lightly browned. Serve hot.

Doesn’t need anything. Serve salt and pepper on the table if you think it might be needed. I don’t think it is needed. Might try a few fresh mushrooms and possibly a couple stalks of celery with it but it’s not really necessary. Thanks for sharing.

Made this last night as a Good Friday meatless entree from our long-term panty stores, mostly. Very good approach, thanks! Thanks for the recipe I just made it but got impatient with the oven so I turned it on high grill (or broil in America) to crunch up the top. I also put all of the tuna (sole mare or sirena is what I use) into the oniony/garlic roux and boiled the peas in the pasta. In my sauce I threw in fresh sage and thyme and a bay leaf. Of course heaps of black pepper and a dash of nutmeg. Doused the thing in freshly grated reggiano. Delicious!

So ... I made this and followed the recipe closely, except I put breadcrumbs on top instead of Ritz crackers. Pulled it out of the oven and realized I forgot to put the tuna in !!! And guess what? It was wonderful. Without the tuna it would be a wonderful side dish. Just sayin'. I'm looking forward to making it again -- with the tuna.

The first thing I checked for in the recipe is cream of mushroom, since that is not there I will definitely follow this recipe. Can't wait to try it out. Every single recipe I have tried out so far from your channel has been successful. Going to try out the tuna salad tonight.

Bread crumbs trick was a big hit!!!! Thank you so much again!❤️👍👍 Sorry edited wrong post! I forgot to say added sage and dill along with 1/2 cup of dry vermouth cooked in Celery/onion saute. Is "mild taste" olive oil ok to use? I'm just learning to cook so I don't know if it would make a difference! Thank you!

    • @paolamurphy5726
      @paolamurphy5726 5 ปีที่แล้ว

It's just fine, some olive oils have a very strong taste and overpower the flavour of other ingredients.
