I have been so happy that the high waisted pants are back. They cover many imperfections that low rise and midrise really let hang out. I also love vintage jewelry. Cameos, pearls and lace, no those are my style, my esthetic. Very Victorian, lace collars and cuffs, filmy blouses, lace gloves and corsets.

Can you believe that a couple of days later when I was shopping in a vintage store on Brick Lane in London I found the EXACT SAME ONE!!! Literally hiding in a box full of belts I was searching through!! I couldn't believe it....it was meant to be!!! :)
this video is PERFECT!!! i grew up in NY and you brought back so many memories of all that shopping!!.i sware living in NY really gives you a leg up on the wardrobe dept..ppl really dont get it...you CANNOT get all the wonderful treasures anywhere .. that NYC has to offer in the vintage closet. .I remember when Antique Boutique opened on broadway in the 80s...OMG all the great coats & costumes they had .I used to deck myself out in the British revolutionary war uniform coats and velvet tails from Louis the 16th era, they had it all ..i just shared yr vid with all my girlfriends.Ill be in NYC in a few days and im checkin out yr williamsburg spots..

You are so lucky you live here. Try looking that fabulous living in Fargo Nd. We have one vintage clothing store here. I find good levis maybe once a year..let alone fashionable vintage pieces! Mostly a lot of tattered hanes shirts and low quality fabrics

When you held that blue velvet skirt uo with that amazing blouse you had on I was just like....WOW!!! I used to wear those landlubber jeans. Those were awesome. I was in high school in the early 70s. Loved this video it was well worth waiting for.

Very good prices. I am a man who likes to mix vintage with new higher end. Yesterday, I was wearing Marc Jacobs pants with a Wrangler denim jacket with motorcycle patches. In grad school, I used to have a lot more time to dig. But now I'm more inclined to go to a slightly more expensive vintage store with a very curated selection that keeps up with the runway. The store for that in LA is American Rag. If there's just one vintage store to hit during a short trip, it's American Rag. They have high end new clothes, like Comme Des Garcons. And extensive denim. And a really great French Bistro. You can make an afternoon of it by doing the store and the shops around it.

Omg just the other day I was talking out loud about my fantasy of finding a great fall burnt orange three piece suit. (I'm a UT Longhorn alum with a terrible complexion, so I appreciate the versatility and friendliness of that shade.) And now I see this. Crazy.
Καren you have inspired me to step out from my cosy zone I have a vast shoe and clothe collection but now I'm changing the way I put things together and starting with the basic pants shirt and jacket plus adding color I went to some vintage shops in Athens bought a Louis feraud black velvet cape nice !!!!i paid 50 euros some shirts I did very well also a navy pleated skirt long length I took the elastic out it needs a lining , so I'm expanding in different styles I'm happy I'm putting different things together, thanx xxxx
