Working on a couple food plots that were basically pine stands. Had a forestry mulcher come through and clear all the thick undergrowth and small saplings so i can easily maneuver my UTV (Polaris Ranger Crew 570 Full Size) How do you think Groundhog Max will do with mulch/debris and pine straw on soil surface? Have 2 areas roughly 1/2 acre each I want to disc up to add lime, prep soil, etc for planting. Feedback greatly appreciated!

How does this work on small twigs and stick ups a foot and higher?

Pretty cool little plow, I beat the crap out of mine and it keeps grinding. I heard alot of negative comments about installing it, I'm not the smartest chimp in the pen, but with the kit I had it on my 99 foreman in about 45min

How does it do in rocky soil?

Not sure that is a great question. Anyone tried that out there?

I have and you just bounce right off the rock. So what I do is go slow to identify the larger rocks, then remove them and roll right through the smaller ones

Too hard on your atv or utv. Heard of too many broken axles and wear and tear that's extreme compared to just pulling a regular atv disk. Weigh the odds.

What other disc are you referring to?

Your incorrect..this causes hardly any strain on the quad or utv and no strain on axcels what so ever.

@@timwozniak7574 explain than I might believe you. Physics and mechanics prove otherwise....?

I’ve used it on my old Polaris using their hitch system and it worked well, if your wheeler has a cheap hitch I could see it being an issue

@@calebscott1175 This is what I've heard. Some of the factory hitches are just not up to handling the Groundhog Max and they bend easily unless they are reinforced. I'm looking into getting a Groundhog Max, but first I'm replacing my factory hitch on my 05 Suzuki Eiger 400 4x4 with a heavy duty 2 inch aftermarket receiver hitch. I've found one made specifically for the Eiger that I'll be using. I have not heard of any issues of broken axles caused by the Groundhog Max myself, just cheap bent factory hitches.
