@@farmoboy83 That's basically nothing in the US market, that's not even 70,000 miles. Most people in the US would accumulate 70,000 miles in 2-3 years. So for a car to be considered reliable, it needs to get to at least 200,000 miles mostly trouble free, so about 322,000 miles.

@@shadowthesi i also have a 20years old punto with 250000km and know many others with over 320000km. I am talking about a cheap car with a tiny 1.2 60hp engine, not a big v6 with more than 200hp that keeps major part of its life in lower revs...in my opinion, little fiats are incredible cars for what they were created.

I saw this very scenario a couple of weeks ago, a small motorway reasonably low speed pile up. The fiat 500 was the first car to be hit by an 8 wheel tipper, now I know it was a truck but holy man that little shitbox folded up to the front seats, thankfully no passengers in the rear. All the other vehicles could have driven away, even the roof panel on the fiat failed and popped it's seams. Also what I noticed was the significant lack of damage to the front end like it didn't really get that much pressure put on it. No way I would ever get one of these.
