    I ran across this and am so happy I did. One woman had did something similar but it was in DUTCH! This project is gonna be my favorite to make for my gift boxes for sure!!!

      One part I am trying to understand is that one sixteenth measurement. (that minus one sixteenth just throws me) I don't know how to measure that on ruler??@@michelleallenacreativeoper6112

    Yet another awesome tutorial Michelle! One thing that I have done when giving these as gifts is to cut several more strips for the top of the actual notebook and then I tuck them in the pocket in the back. That way when they put in a new notebook they can glue one of the coordinating paper strips to the top. Hope I explained that well... I am sometimes "explanation" challenged!!

    Thank you! I loved learning the accordion pockets! I only have the base done so far. I still don’t know how much paper I used, I think I could have cut it out better utilizing my paper. Now I have to figure out the sizes for my designer paper! I really love this configuration.

    So I actually did this one too, I just need to add ribbon and the front paper, ill do that tomorrow {preschool day tomorrow} 😊. I had trouble with my big pocket, only because I literally can’t get those miter marks accurate.😂. Other than that, it really was easy to do. Thanks for going the extra mile with all your figuring whatever it is that motivates you to come up with all your creations. I have a CCC, Package alert, so any day it should arrive with my craftology kit.😊

      Thank you so much☺️🫶🏻☺️I really do appreciate it. ❤️I usually don’t write out the measurements for patterned paper, however, I usually cut patterned paper 1/8” less than the piece they are covering. So for example if you are covering a 5x8 piece of cardstock I cut it at 47/8 x 7 7/8. I hope that helps you.

    You really are a genius! This is a really great idea and they are so useful! I wonder if you could make it so the closure is on the right instead of the left? I know you can figure that out too!!!! Thanks for the inspiration and sharing!

      All you have to do is turn the base to make the closure on the other side. Just score it all the same and turn so the 1 1/2” is on the right. Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comments! I appreciate it!

    I really like this. It will be perfect for all the lists needed for the next several months for birthdays, school functions, family and holidays. I love the box pocket. Is there a easy way I could add a flap with either magnets or velcro to the flap on the box envelope? That way I could keep receipts in there. Thanks for a great tutorial.

      Absolutely. Measure how wide and tall it would need to be, add 1/4” for the gusset/box depth space, then add 1/2” for a tab to attach it to the back of the box. I haven’t done it. I actually thought about it too!

    Looking at your left base on the scoreboard it appears that the measurement is 7-3/4 not 7-3/8...am I seeing this wrong based on the ruler at the top of the scoreboards?

    It looks like you’re using a very thin kind of cardboard or is it kraft paper? I think it works for the bending part but as for being sturdy, i think I would use a little thicker cardboard . Although, great work.

      I’m using artisan card stock from Country Craft Creations. It’s 87 lb and very sturdy, especially after adding patterned paper. Sure, chipboard wold be more sturdy but as I did these, they are quite nice.

      No I don’t. Since people like to do it differently. I usually do it 1/8” less than the piece it’s covering. Some people like 1/4”.

      Hi, thanks for watching. You don't cover those with patterned paper, just leave that in plain cardstock.

      I didn’t use chipboard in this project. It’s cardstock from Country Craft Creations, Artisan. It is 87lb and absolutely the best! www.countrycraftcreations.com/collections/artisan-cardstock
