This is so cute and the pen holder is genius.
I use the wrapped hair rubber bands from Dollar Tree to hold small notebooks closed. They come in lots of colors.
Hi Kaylyn 😊 Thanks for stopping by! I'm happy you like these. I have been making them and selling them for years. The pink one is the first and only one I have added a closure. Haven't decided yet if I like it, or if I would like a different closure, or prefer them with no closure. The hair elastics sound great except if they get caught in the embellishments and tear them off. Maybe they would be great for the ones without embellishments. But they really don't need closures. Thanks Sue 😊 I did a tutorial on this several years ago, and decided to do this tutorial just using a single layer instead of having to cut out the layers. This way works great if you want to add layers of embellishments, or just let the pretty papers show. I'm glad you like it ...thank you 😊💗🤗 Hugs....Janie

You mentioned you sell them, which is something I would probably be interested in doing eventually as well, so I'm wondering how much you ask for them? I don't have much experience selling and I have a terrible time pricing crafted items. Thank you again 💙
Hi Jacklyn 😊 I'm so happy you like these and my directions.....thank you! As for selling, I haven't been to any events to sell at for a couple years, but if I remember correctly the ones I sold (the layered ones, not the ones I created in this video) I had priced them at $4 each and 3 for $10. I would definitely charge more for the embellished ones. You would have to figure out how much your embellishents are worth and charge a little more. For example, the pink shabby chic one I would probably sell for $6 and 2 for $10. It's always difficult to know how to price things. Sometimes it depends on where you are selling. Some people are willing to pay more than others. One time I was selling knit hats and dropped the prices and called it a sale for the day.....I had some adorable baby hats and dropped the price to $15......a lady bought what I had and ordered a few more and I let her have them for the sale price. Once she paid for them, she smiled and said she would have paid the original price of $25. So you have to know your customers and the location you are selling at. If I was in a big city I might sell the pink shabby chic one for $10 instead of 2 for $10. Also, don't be disappointed if something doesn't sell at one place, because it may be a best seller at another place. Good luck 😊 Hugs....Janie

very beautiful, but it is difficult for me to make these, we use cm in Belgium
My paper trimmer has both inches and metric. Maybe you have a ruler or paper trimmer that has both. Or you can Google a metric conversion chart calculator.....I have to do that all the time when shopping at some places so I can figure out the size of things when the dimensions are listed in metric. It shouldn't be a problem....you can definitely do this easily.....it's not that complicated. It's not like there is a lot measurements. Here.....I did it for you. cut the cardstock to 26.67 x 8.25, then score at 8, 15.875, 16.827, and 17.78. Or for scoring just round up to 8, 16, 17, and 18. I have to do this all the time when reading directions in metric and need to change them to inches. Thank you for stopping by and I'm happy you like this. And now you can do it 😊 Hugs....Janie

@@bettyconnolly3074 I'm in the US.....I have no idea how to find them in Austrailia. You can Google them and see what pops up. And I find it odd that the links don't work in Austrailia......I have never heard that before. I have used links for other countries all the time. Of course even though I can use the links it doesn't mean they ship to the US, but I can still get to the stores. I think you should just Google them and you should find something.
