Probably because beating her once isn't the problem, you need to farm her over and over to try and get the kjarr weapons you want. So by the time you get the weapon you want, you've almost certainly farmed her plenty to get her armor.
There Is the option of Breaking an individual part until you get the drops you want,then back out of the pursuit to keep the found materials. Lather, rinse, repeat until you have the material for the armor piece(s) you need. Whilst doing this, you can also be learning the monster's tendencies, in this case how KT paths in S1 is a big thing, and also where the falling boulders are. The further you get, the more learn, the better you get,and you might even start to clear her without a counter build, or you'll have the materials for the counter build eventually and can just run it in stead.
Yeah but no one makes guides for people who have just started recently all these fucking builds are way beyond me cause the gems hell I cant even get my hands on drachen cause I can't find a decent group to play with. i'm HR 64 so its not for a lack of playing. @@Uberrandom
Budget builds are very appreciated. Please do NOT stop doing them. Not everyone has the patience to farm AT Elders, so it's nice to have access to a good build that doesn't require those parts.
Thanks for posting budget builds. Got into the game again too late into the spring event to do the AT Elders like Kirin and Teostra, which means I'm stuck between modding to get tickets or waiting for the next festival. MUCH appreciated!
Nice vid 👍 couple of points from a gunlance main (won't call myself a master till I solo ancient leshen) Guard 3 is not enough against an enraged KT's breath if your in the wrong spot you'll lose stamina before the breath finishes meaning you can die. I personally would drop protection and run guard 5, this also allows me to counter some of her big moves instantly instead of having that slight knock back. I run wide (most of the time) just because in multi she moves a lot meaning your charged shells have a chance of being wasted. However long shelling is hella satisfactory 😎 Lastly evade extender 3 is great. For most of her moves you backhop once to dodge then forward hop and continue the barrage. That's my 2 cents. And just want to add that I love the fact you did a really nice budget build.
Ive found guard 3 to be effective for the fire breath, maybe it depends on how bad your situation is? Im really good at just avoiding the fire breath so my perspective may be skewed.
@@TheGameconomist if your close enough to the edge it will push you out. I know for myself when she became AT I tested each different level and without anything to reduce stamina consumption then on guard 3 it'll break through and you'll take tick damage. And I've seen plenty of GL's and Lance's die even with guard 3. But yes get out then do more dps. I keep shelling right until she breathes then tank it 😜 makes me feel tough. I'm probably the one with a skewed perspective. But definitely try evade extender 3 it's awesome.
If you miss the free element deco, like I do and you still want minmaxed LBG damage, you can sub in the Kaiser Y Greaves instead of the Kirin Y Greaves and use the Awakening Charm 2, the only thing you loose is Blight resistance 1, but you gain some fire res which is more important anyway.
11:30 unless, you know, this is the first time since I started playing the game that any Kulve Taroth has been available so obviously Ive never done the siege before and thats why Im here in the first place.
I still prefer both gathering tracks and breaking the horn's plating in Pursuit one rather than just gathering. With my team we got it in average in 8 minutes so basically the same as purely gathering tracks. And breaking the plating makes it less boring, it gives you a kind of time trial. The challenge keeps you focused and busy.
There is a more effecient way to build the stix if u use the kirin beta legs and swap in the thunder attack up charm u can manage to max Bombardier out as well ( credit: yung nutt)
Rath soul mail b rath soul helm b gala cuffs zorah spine y and kirin guards b. Not healt boost but you can get sleep 3 bombardier 3 thunder 3 mighty 2. I got this from yoda of soda and its working really good if you dont get hits.
Very cool video! I feel like you in particular would be able to put together an interesting video regarding unconventional builds for the 14 weapon types, too. Something to think about!
Awesome and helpful video, busy making these classes as I'm watching :) I just want to say that on your GL build you are using Dia Nero braces for 1 Foc, 1 lvl 2 slot ans a 1 slot. But if you used Kush Y you would get 2 Focus and 3 lvl 1 slots which is adding 1 more slot and since you not even using the lvl 2 slot it is much more efficient if you have the Y gear.

I'll have to disagree with the, practicing weapons with AT Kulve though, especially for newbies. It's already hard to find teammates who knows how to fight regular Kulve, what more with AT Kulve with people using weapons they've never used. xD
Wow that release yewel is really beginning to be a pain in the ass for me... seriously I have 5 attack yewels and pretty much every decoration 3 times besides release. I havent even got 1.
I also have 5 Attack jewels, which I couldn't care less about lol. All I ever wanted was an Ironwall jewel, which of course never came. I don't have Release nor Handicraft either.
You forgot the wonderfull Taroth Strongarm Thunder, which IS on PC right now. Just add partbreaker. And MARVEL at the parts falling off of her. And when you get lucky, Kijar strongarm ICE, it does 300+ per discharge from the SAED, when in area 4. Horns are gone after a few of those.
@@radenkurdu7117 He probably means the Food Skill. So yeah, Felyne Bombardier does upgrade explosive ammo (increases damage of sticky and Gunlance shelling). EDIT: Oh and it also affects Charge Blade phial damage.
Exactly, and I'm 100 hours into the game... and no where near unlocking Empress Shell Styx because it requires a part that you only get by completing pretty much every optional quest in the game and being hunter rank 50. not a budget build at all.

As a LS user, I can’t agree with this video: 1) Please do not use LS during area 1,2,3 in RANDOM HUNTS. LBG or HBG deal a lot more of damage, LS is useless. 2) In area 4, just use raw damage, don’t go for element... Taroth fire. Was that so difficult to point out? 3) Stop suggesting Reaver Calamity to the people. This LS isn’t good at all. Every time you counter with LS you have 70% of affinity and your sharpness will decrease so fast because master’s touch will not be activated. So if you have any intention to use the counter of the LS, don’t use RC. Taroth Fire is way better, also for the sharpness. I appreciate your work on this video but sometimes it’s better to not say anything on specific weapons if you don’t really are a user of that specific weapon.
Man shame i spent thousands of hours in this game but quit before they introduced kulve taroth the first time last year lol. got so bored especially when you were FORCED to be in a party with people. like there's no matchmaking for this guy

@@pedroxavier4227 she mostly drops 3 emperor shards at most, I usually get 1-2. You need 7 for each gamma piece.

Walk forward while blocking in order to regen stamina while blocking.

Some of this needs gamma armors they’re much more harder to get than get kulve taroth materials

Bombing with bomber skill works particularly well on this monster.

Bombardier for barrel bombs. Artillery for sticky ammo, if im not mistaken.
