Had them for 4 years, and they work great, Mounting them is not easy and may not fit any car front bumper. And the biggest challenge is taking them off in case you want to paint the front bumper in case of an accident. 2nd they don't dim, so I keep them running at night as fog lights I ended up installed 2 on motorcycles. Great product with regard to their price,
Daytime running lights are designed to come on the moment the ignition is turned on, whether or not the ignition is running. The live feed is switched of the ignition and is NOT permanent. The signal wire is connected to the side/headlight feed, and as soon as these are turned on the DRL's are either dimmed or turned off completely (depending on model). HTH
@iverson2503 When i had my drl smd fitted to corsa only connected the negative to battery. Positive was connected to ignition 12v feed which in my case was ciggy lighter. Only gets 12v when ignition is on. They should say that in manual. Means when ignition is off all lights are of and there is no power feed to control box. Hope it helps.
No tools required - Just a tape measure, a marker pen or a pencil, a phillips screwdriver, a drill or a bradawl, an 8mm, 10mm or adjustable spanner, a multimeter and a pair of side cutters!
How does the control box know when your car is runing? When i look at the user manual, the controlbox is altways under 12v., why should the LED's not burn when the car is out? The controlbox pics the power right from the battery? No any whire is telling the box if the car is running? plz answer me!
@Nosdmg i have a 530d so I assume we share the same engine type. Leave those lights for audi drivers...... enhance your angel lighs or if you haven't got any install some. These LEDs will look unBMW
Yeah, you are better seen without your costly headlights on!The brighter your headlights, the shorter the lives. So put your DLR on during the day and only your headlights on during the night. And there are people who dont even see a truck coming towards them..
LED 4 is like 479 on Amazon where i got my 4 LED kit. Put on VW GTI even though it has DRL 2010, these are added BRIGHT white stand out more than Halogen 15W DRL in factory OEM. Every car is getting the WHITE bright LED drL, so the incandescent DRL kind of out not so obvious as LED DRL
nope 4 LED is $80 at Amazon, these are high quality stuff, not junk. complete kit with everything ya need excellent stuff! I used 3M moulding tape to mount brackets work perfect. Unit s are great bright, glass lens. I have been asked more than once, where did you get the LED? they look OEM, and work perfect.
, 3M-Double sided red stick tape is very good at mounting aux. lights. especially if it's a flat surface. if the area is cleaned and alcohol wipped, the red tape will NOT COME LOOSE, EVER !!!
Sidelights are probably what you are calling parking lights. They are normally a 5w capless wedge bulb. They are what comes on between nothing and low/dipped beam. So you have Nothing Side/Parking Lights Low/Dipped Beam High/Main Beam plus your Turn Signals/Indicators and Fog Lights of course
there were all kinds of tools and expertise required! a jig? an automotive measuring tool to find the correct wire? cutting the perfect holes? having a perfect spot to place the control box? etc. etc.!?!?!! lol wow
These kits are only good for older cars now. I'm now seeing Toyotas and Kias that have LED DRLs fitted as standard. Audi and Mercedes takes a step further by implementing full LED headlights on several models.
So tell me,as a foreigner, what are sidelights??Because you dont have only english or american speaking people here on TH-cam!!!But he!The usa is the only country on Earth of course....
I have installed these lights and I am very pleased with them. The install was easy thanks to the video - took me 45 minutes.

There are two positve wires, one to the battery and one to lightswitch to dim the DRLs.So when lightswitch is on the DRL dims..

Thank god they put DRL's on the car as i would not see a big fecking red Audi coming towards me.
HAMISH HAGGIS exactly my thought.

Connect to negative & positive battery terminals? Seems odd, I'd think it would need the negative grounded
And were do you think the negative of the battery is going??To the "grounding"nut of course..
what about ignition on cable ?
looks so simple....i am gonna get one !
One of the LED DRL now doesn't work. Any ideas how to fix it without taking it to the dealer?
Ruby Rodriguez Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Nowadays it's more like aesthetics than anything..hey I've got daytime running lights how cool is it? 😁
"It is strongly recommended to disconnect the negative, but we haven't bothered" @2:54
Did the company go busy,as their website is not working.
Sidelights are probably what you are calling parking lights. They are normally a 5w capless wedge bulb. They are what comes on between nothing and low/dipped beam.
So you have
Nothing
Side/Parking Lights
Low/Dipped Beam
High/Main Beam
plus your Turn Signals/Indicators and Fog Lights of course
Good stuff, i'm interesting to fit it on my car vw golf mk4 . good video.
Do you really need a control box for this?
Yes!To dim the DRL when your headlights are on.
there were all kinds of tools and expertise required! a jig? an automotive measuring tool to find the correct wire? cutting the perfect holes? having a perfect spot to place the control box? etc. etc.!?!?!! lol wow
Enjoy heightened visibility. But you're not allowed side lights and DRLs on at the same time...
These kits are only good for older cars now. I'm now seeing Toyotas and Kias that have LED DRLs fitted as standard. Audi and Mercedes takes a step further by implementing full LED headlights on several models.
"Side light", what is that????

We Were told to stop using scotch locks in the 90's as they fail too many times!!

wtf is a sidelight!?, i only know 4 basic lights on a front headlamp(lowbeam, highbeam, signal light and parking light)
To be honest, that doesn't look easy if you're a novice.
Good!
*sees 'install with no tools required'*
"oh neat!! "
*sees tape measure... drill... jigsaw.. screwdriver.. wrench.. voltmeter checker
"I'm so confused..... why did they say...? :-S "
No tools except a philips screwdriver to mount the brackets and a spanner to fix the positive and negatve terminals!
And a cutter. If the chosen area requires cutting as shown on this demo
BUT... NOPE!!! no tools required for this
😊👏👏👏👏
Philips didnt invent DRL's, Volvo did in the mid seventies.
You sir are clever
Thanks
Garry M I'm pretty sure that he said LED DRLs, not just DRLs.
Just use 3m sticker that's it no drill
They make the fitting look so easy. Looking to put some DRL's on my custom car. Follow the build @: DreamCarGarage1
