MANDREL EXHAUST FINALLY FINISHED

  • WELL, AFTER 9 MONTHS THE CAR IS FINALLY DONE. UNFORTUNATELY THE CAR DOES NOT HAVE AN ECM, FUEL TANK ETC ATTACHED TO IT AND THIS WAS A MOCK-UP VEHICLE ONLY SO I COULDNT SEND A VIDEO OF THE SOUND ANYWAYS. THE HEADER TUBES ARE 1.75", MID TUBES ARE 1.88" AND THE TAILS THAT GO UP AND OVER THE DIFF AND EXIT OUT THE BACK ARE 2". THE MUFFLERS ARE A "GBE MANDREL BENDING" CUSTOM MUFFLER THAT THE TOP AND BOTTOM HAVE REMOVABLE PLATES HELD ON BY BUTTON HEAD ALLENS. THIS WAY THESE MUFFLERS CAN BE SERVICEABLE AND THE PACKING CAN BE REPLACED IF IT IS BLOWN OUT. THESE ARE A CONCEPT AND IDEA MADE BY ME, STEVE, THE OWNER OF GBE MANDREL BENDING, FORMLY NAMED GET BENT! EXHAUST IN CLACKAMAS OREGON.
    ALSO, THE WAY HOW THE EXHAUST IS, IT IS NOT SET-UP FOR "BACK PRESSURE" SPECIFIC BECAUSE THE OWNERS OF THE CAR MAY EITHER PUT A SUPERCHARGER ON IT OR SOMETHING ELSE. EITHER WAY THE ECM PROGRAMMING CAN BE MODIFIED TO FIT THE EXHAUST LATER ON.
    WHEN THE CUSTOMERS MECHANIC PICKED UP THE CAR, HE STATED THAT HE COULDN'T COVER THIS EXHAUST AS IT WAS A PIECE OF ART. SO, HIS IDEA IS TO TAKE IT TO THE MOPAR NATIONALS WITHOUT A BODY, THEN HAVE IT JUDGED. THEN WHEN THE BODY AND THE REST OF THE CAR IS DONE, TAKE THAT TO THE MOPAR NATIONALS THE FOLLOWING YEAR. THEY JUST WANT SOMETHING WIERD AND DIFFERENT.
    THE CUSTOMER JUST HAD AN IDEA ABOUT HAVING 4 TUBES RUN ALONG SIDE OF THE FRAME, THE REST WAS MY KNOWLEDGE AND DOING WHAT I DO. "MAKING WIERD $HIT OUT OF NOTHING BUT AN IDEA"
    ONE LAST THING, THE CAR IS GOING TO BE A 1972 DUSTER WITH AN ART MORRISON CHASSIS AND BODY WORK FROM HERMANCE DESIGN.
