Chiefy, I Love you, I love your direction, focus and honesty. In this particular situation, irrespective of whether I think it was the right outcome or not, I think you misread the nature of the club and the fans. I'll speak for myself but I have heard this view is shared by others.. We don't treat those that have given so much to the club in that way. I could make an argument that utilising Bally's skills in an area that has been causing us substantial problems (ie. mid third to front third linkage) may have been worth a shot but that is now academic. At the very least he deserved to go out on the paddock at home, and have an opportunity to be acknowledged. Perhaps more importantly, you should have been sitting next to him at the public announcement. The fact that neither of those things happened, leaves a bit of a sour taste with how a legend of the club has been treated, for me at least.

You cannot on one hand say we are lacking depth and experience then on the other say someone like Ball doesn't fit into the plans & he didn't want to build the team around him because he won't be here long enough. Ball is an very experienced player & would not need the team to be "built around him". I feel like this is showing how inflexible Italiano actually is with squad tactics

should have given him a last home game, he would have provided some effort against Adelaide in a team that clearly did not care. dog move Chief.
