Thank you, much appreciated. Being self-employed is great and I wouldn't change it for the world but it can be annoying and stressful as well.

That's the thing, you never know just from looking at a picture. Good job on the tourmaline though.

Quick question/Idea for a video...I have avoided buying quartz because of how much of it is either heat treated (to make citrine) or synthetic. I can easily spot glass and large carat stones that are synthetic are way to clear and lack any color zoning....Do you have any tips for buying sub 10 carat quartz and avoiding lab created or heated- specifically citrine or amethyst?

Identifying whether quartz is natural or synthetic is very difficult, especially with stones that don't have colour zoning or inclusions and the only way to be sure is either advanced lab testing, which isn't economically viable or buying directly from source.
Even large natural stones can be inclusion free and have no colour zoning, such as my 31 carat Citrine but has likely been heat treated.

It is too much to explain in a comment but there is a method for doing it, I have done a short course on Diamond Grading and cover how to measure and estimate the weight of mounted Diamonds and it includes a resource sheet which might be useful www.haywoodsjewellery.co.uk/intro-to-diamonds
