Sometimes in the moment its not so easy or clear to see and know the deeper purpose and bigger picture as to why we are faced with such adversity of loss, pain and sorrow...God knows and always has our best in mind. I find hearing the stories of the saints really helps me to put my own struggles into context. It is like we can borrow their faith and patience, to help us stay faithful through our own struggles. Can you imagine reading this in jail? Or writing this to someone in jail? It shows a beautiful connection, love and trust between two people.
