-23 dB LUFS is the European EBU R128 standard, while -24 dB LKFS is the ITU BS.1770-3 standard and ATSC A/85 standard in the states. I just purched this unit last week. Tomorrow I will set it alongside the RTW (and the LKFS meter on a Calrec) for a comparison.
Thanks had this unit for a while Running in my Studio Coming out of my UA Apollo X6 Coaxl So Direct ADDA with the Unit or I can run it From my HA RAM System 2000 Monitor Controller but a Great video and unit👌🏾 Also you can add your own Logo to the screen 😎
I'm still a bit confused on how the DB15 works here for connecting to an audio interface using in 5.1. Does each bnc holds 6 channels? of youll need 3 spdifs input in your audio interface?
I'm thinking of purchasing the Tc Clarity M, but I wanted it to analyze the music coming out of the AD and not via USB with the Plugin, is it possible to do it with an apollo twin x? I only have an optical In or line out, is it possible to configure?
Thank you so much for all you help. Would a black magic SDI-TO-AUDIO work with this as well? If so what type of cable is needed a jack to _ _ ?? to connect to my clarity. Sorry for the lots of questions
Hello, I’m having an issue where the meter is displaying incorrect levels(way lower than the actual levels). What could be the problem? It seems to have a yellow vertical line across the screen too. Could it be a hardware issue?
Doug happy Thanksgiving you didn’t say how much the unit cost of the meter! also your channel audio is a bit noisy but overall you The is very informative to people
I intentionally left that out. The price has been all over the map. The Stereo version normally sells for under $300, but it seems to be hovering closer to $380 right now. The surround version is usually about $100 more.
@@djp_video thanks so that means I should be fine with either. As long as it support stereo I’m good. Now I got to look up 5.1 surround I have no idea what that is but I’m using mine for mixing and mastering music.
My Clarity M Stereo 5.1 Is Not Outputting In Stereo Only MONO From The Brake Out Cable I Am Using Number 1 Of 3 Into My Digigrid IOS SPDIF Digital OUTputs That Are Showing That They Are Putting Out a Stereo Signal The V SCOPE is Straight UP No Stereo Just MONO If Any One Knows What I Am Doing Wrong Please Let Me Know Thanks
@@djp_video Thanks For The Reply And Yes The Source Signal Is Being Played From My DAW Cubase 12 And When I Try Panning the Master Buss When I Pan To The Rite I Have Signal BUT When I Pan To The Left There is No Sound It Gos Silent So What That Says To Me Is The SPDIF RCA Is Mono Not Stereo Because There is Not a Left And Rite SPDIF RCA There is Only a IN and Out Thanks
Logic Pro 10.7.3 quit unexpectedly when using ClarityM plugi n on INTEL MAC, macos Big Sur. The Clarity M Stereo device is now unusable with Logic Pro!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine has been sitting it a box for the last two years. Time to rock it again!
Thanks for covering this, Doug!
My pleasure!

Thanks for the insight, Doug! You literally made me order the Clarity Stereo and the AVIO AES3 right on the spot!
That is very interesting! Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas
Nice I actually have one too. I'm using it for mastering.

Cool!
Awesome video. Does this u it ship with the XLR to BNC adapter, or was that purchased separately?
It is included.

The Clarity M Stereo has an optical input you could use.

Yes. But they’re generally less useful so I default to recommending the SDI to HDMI converter
@@djp_video Thank you very much I'm guessing a 1/4" jack to xlr would work absolutely fine? using the converter that came in the clarity
You still need an adapter, as I don't believe the Clarity comes with a TRS (1/4") connection
@@djp_video yeah sorry I meant I'll get a jack to xlr cable that will connect to the xlr adapter that came with the clarity
Hey Doug, wanna ask what you use to mount the clarity m? Been looking for a way to mount it to the desk etc...
It's a RAM mount. Nothing special.
@@djp_video thanks man!
Whats the CPU hit? Does it run on the GPU processing? For instance I have and AMD 3900X(12core) and DP meter uses 2% per core, Per instance.
I haven't tried it that way. But it isn't going to be very high -- all of the processing is done in the Clarity unit itself.

The level issue could be an offset set somewhere. The yellow line sounds like a hardware issue.

I've also noticed the audio has been pretty noisy.
Just found out there are 2 versions what’s the difference? I didn’t by the 5.1
One supports two channel (stereo) only, where the other can do stereo or 5.1 surround (6 channel) monitoring as well.

@@djp_video just looked it up so does this mean I need 5.1 surround for it to read a sub? Cause I do use sub in my studio
No.
@@djp_video so what is 5.1 surround used for ?
