Great tips, thank you! I'm in the middle of a run now but I skipped colonization. Unfortunately, I don't think at this point around 1910 that I'll be able to weaken GB enough to subjugate them. I'll have to try the colonization approach next.

Glad you liked the tips! I do think that there is a pretty large aspect of randomness for GB. With them being so big but with a lot of subjects, they can kinda blow up on their own like happened to me, or you may have to be more aggressive and find ways to make them lose. I also had a couple runs where basically everyone around me hated me and I had no options.
I do know in the past you could use their subjects like Australia to force Britain to cede important territory and weaken them, but I am not sure if that is patched or not. remember that this video is 5 months old so there have been plenty of updates since then.

@@TheShadedone I appreciate the additional insight. I think the problem with my current run is that it took too long to build up a navy strong enough to chip away at GB. I was able to get East India Company to break up fairly early by going to war with them after they experienced an internal conflict (something I saw on another video). I ended up spending too much time vassalizing the Indian states, and GB still ended up as a powerhouse that I couldn’t invade without a stronger navy.
In this current run, I split off England from what is currently the British Republic, but both are still too big to be subjugated. I’m right around year 1912 so I don’t have much time left to break up England and the British Republic much more with the 5 year truces. I like your idea of focusing on colonization because it gives me a front to GB colonies without needing a naval invasion.
Playing the Sikh Empire is incredibly fun and challenging, so I think I’ll probably just jump into another game and try again using your tips. I’ll follow-up in a few weeks and let you know how it worked out! Thanks again!
