CARAVAN VLOG: Opening Our Caravan Up After Winter Plus EXCITING News | Primrose Valley, Haven

- It is so good to be back at our static caravan/holiday home after so many months away. Really lovely weekend with the owners welcome back party plus we have some very exciting news.
For those interested in knowing about our caravan - it is a 2017 ABO Oakley Exclusive, 39 x 12 ft and is 3 bedrooms which sleeps 8 (extra sofa bed in lounge). It is fully double glazed and central heating oh yes, and has built in blutooth speakers.
It is sited on Haven's 5 star flagship park Primrose Valley, Filey, North Yorkshire and is packed full of things to do. The coast line is absolutely beautiful and we love coming here as much as we can.

Ruby will love the extended deck my aunt n uncle have theirs extended Tuesday. It’s an upgraded caravan too I’m so excited but going to miss the memories in old caravan. Memories with my two dogs who passed away last year (14 and 15)

Raincoats for pups are a necessity at the caravan! My aunt and uncle open up next weekend! Can’t wait! They just moved to a new site so it’s going to be fun ! Even closer to the sea! Your excitement has made me excited for open up!
Hehe you can’t beat it. We are just a 10 minute walk to the beach but it’s downhill walk there and uphill back so need to see how Glens leg is getting on. Lots of lovely walks on the flat though. Yes, the raincoat was a big success, stopped the ‘wet dog’ smell xxx
Great vlog hunk would love to have somewhere like this to take the kids my mum and dad have one not static though they have it down Somerset way and love going there. Ruby looked well chill on her Hollibobs and I'm excited to see the new caravan 😊😊😊

We used to go to Primrose Valley when we were kids, one year we stayed for 10 days as Edwin Starr was playing at a Motown weekend. We saw the relics of the Butlins site next door and Morrisons in Scarborough was actually an outdoor market (now showing my age). The time we were away for 10 days, there was a thunder storm came in from the sea, you could see it from the caravan window.
Are you likely to rent out your caravan? It can be a good business from what I gather. Excited to see the new caravan.
It’s such a great park, there are still a few of the old butlins chalets. We do rent ours out, we have to so that it helps cover the site fees ... in an ideal world I wouldn’t rent it out, people don’t treat it like I do lol. Glad you have lots of happy memories xx

Hi darling ! I’m just about to buy a caravan in primrose and I’m so nervous is it a good idea ? Do you rent it out xxx
Well I obviously think it’s a good idea Cos I have one 🥰. As for renting it out it depends really. Are you going to use it all year? Can you afford to pay all your site fees and bills if you don’t rent it? We have let it out through haven in the past without any problems. In an ideal world I would not rent it out but everyone’s circumstances are different. Good luck! Where are you having it pitched? X
@@ladymawa Thank you so much for your reply yes ground rent payments and everything I could manage without having anyone in I’m only 27 and doing it buy myself so very nervous ! And I will be on maple grove are you far from there ? Btw I love ruby we have had boxers for years xx
@@danniwardle4549 I would be tempted to say don’t rent if you can afford not to. That way you can leave your things in the caravan which makes such a difference. I really hope you love it. The park is open until 4th January so I hope you get to spend a bit of time before it closes for winter. I think we are at complete opposite ends of the park. Boxers are the best!! X
Hey, we have been following your videos for a while. It feels like we are stalking you (we’ve in the process of buying a new build, and now looking at purchasing a static later this year!) I Promise we aren’t! Just out of interest, how many times a year do you rent out, and does this cover all your fees or do you still have to contribute further?

Ooh exciting times for you.
There are a few things re renting out etc.
In the past we have rented through haven. If you give them all the school holidays that usually covers everything. This year we are only renting out over the summer holidays so we will probably need to add a bit to it.
But it will depend on the grade of caravan you have and your pitch because that can vary considerable for the fees you pay. If you rent out privately you can earn more but the you are not guaranteed for cancellations etc.

We ended up getting a slightly bigger house but we still love seeing these. We really liked primrose valley, but it’s too far for us so we are looking at Lakeland. Would you ever consider doing a vlog about ownership and how you got started and any tips you have learnt over the years?

@@ladymawaWe ended up getting the tamerton, but it was a hard choice as we loved the size of the kitchen in the Alderney. We are about two months from completion so it is very exciting!
