  • We saw in previous releases the introduction of H3 Geospatial functions to Databricks but... what does that actually mean and how do we use them? There's also a Databricks Labs project named Mosaic, which is adding an additional layer of benefit on top of H3... but what benefits do we get from it?
Well today we have a treat as we've convinced Milos Colic from Databricks to walk us through from geospatial, via H3 to Mosaic, sharing the benefits and some of the real-world value that's been delivered using the project. It's a long video, be warned!
As promised, we have a ton of links for you this time:

Nice! Can we have a video showing off some code and hands on?

Thanks for sharing this - we'll certainly be trying a POC. Can I suggest that videos don't have the tinkly music in the background please :-) it distracts from the important stuff!

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I'll tweak the audio a bit going forward - the guest vocals are blended with the background music so the audio balance wasn't great. I'll pull the music down a bit and make sure I can bring guests vocals up more! I'd like to keep /some/ background audio, but the priority is definitely the nerd-chat :D
