Perfect timing....I found a pot of tile grout yesterday. Time to do my wizard tower walls. Thank you

That's very similar to my own process. I changed it up a little recently by colouring the grout with acrylics and putting it on AFTER having painted the timbers. Basically skipping the step of painting the stucco. Works like a charm.

Neat I've seen people add grout or sprinkle it on terrain, this is a coot technique as well.

Can't wait to see how this piece turns out. The foam parts are beautiful and it keeps getting better with each of these videos :)

The building is looking really great. I like how you've done your stucco, definitely wanna give it a try next time I have stocco to do, to at the very least try a new method

Hey Garmen! Out of curiosity, is there any logic behind the different colored foams used to make the house, or is just whatever foam you had on hand each time you picked the project back up?

I think the different colors looks awesome and had I built it, I would be sorely tempted to NOT paint it and a whimsical hag would live there.

Haha I wish I had some grand genius explanation about the subtle differences between manufacturers and colors… But in reality; I just had a bunch of different crap laying around every time I’ve gotten into this piece and I’ve just used what I had. 😂

Lol. Different big box hardware stores. One is Home Depot XPS and one is Lowes XPS.

It's cool to see your progress, yes, but it's awesomer to see your enjoyment and enthusiasm. Cool video, Garman. Really enjoying seeing this project advance

Way to go, young brother! I’m a fairly new subscriber, and I enjoy your builds. I have been wanting to make a European building like this for quite some time, but fortunately/unfortunately I am in the middle of a commission. I really dig this technique and it will help me in that future build. Keep on keeping on -Rick, USMC.

Have you compared the grout vs a mix of caulk with spackle?

I love the final look of this but I've always wrestled with how thick or thin to make the mixture. I find when it's thick it can be hard to get into the corners (particularly on triangular shapes) and can make a mess. I've experimented with making it runnier so it flows more easily into those spots, but that can also be messy and takes much longer to dry. Definitely takes patience!

Yeah, I find somewhere in the middle is the ticket, and lots of patience.

There's a crazy amount of overlap in the gaming-terrain & dollhouse-miniatures hobbies. *giggle*
