It sounds like you need to either survive longer or have lower health. Both of these things trigger scripted events in the game, it probably looks something like: X amount of time has passed, player health = X or a combination of both. I'm currently working on a combo and vanishing tutorial to help people out which should be up soon.
Really glad I looked this up, I thought I wasn't beating Goku and Vegeta fast enough and was going insane trying to figure out how to beat the as quickly as possible, glad to know I was having the opposite problem

Wow, after 80 hours of this game, I finally went back and just cleaned out the episode battle. Once I understood exactly what the map meant, and what was required to move forward, it became a much more enjoyable experience. I gave up on the episode battles after unlocking all the characters, I just didn't find it. Fun going back and trying to please these very vague win conditions. But once I started looking things up, and it started to understand what was preventing me from progressing, the experience was totally different. I feel very satisfied knowing that I've completed all the story missions for all the characters. Although it felt weird having to deliberately lose, or stall certain matches to unlock branching paths. I just got the all-knowing achievement, and I'm not surprised to see. Only 5% of players actually achieve this. And that's just for completing the entire story mode. Sparking Sarah's a masterpiece in terms of gameplay. Every moment of action is euphoric, but God damn I can't say they didn't drop the ball hard with the story mode. This was the last tutorial I had to watch to complete my experience. Thank you for breaking it down, I would never have known to lose to trunks deliberately.
I beat “The Ultimate Fusion” and went on to “Responsibility as a God” then finally to “The Universe Gains a New Legend” and I was like “What loop is bro talking about? 🤨 I beat it 😎”….So anyway I ended up getting caught in the loop 🤣😭

Dude, I can’t get past the episode when you first fuse into the corrupt version of Zamasu and fight Vegeta. He’s so damn strong. It’s even harder than the battle between Vegeta when he was a great ape in the Goku ark
Ah that sucks mate, have you tried lowering the difficulty to easy or using a dragon orb? Because it's the main story and not an alternate win condition, you can lower the difficulty and still complete it.
So i am sitting here now over an fucking hour. Trunks joins in. collects his sparking and uses galic gun for the 100th time. I now died against trunks at least 20 times because he NEVER uses his move. And the one time he used i accidently blocked because i was earlier in a combo. I rate this entire Act Trash/10

@@sam_yt_yt Yea that sounds correct mate, have you tried it on the lower difficulty yet? It might be that your health needs to be lower or Trunk's health needs to be lower for the event to trigger. Try getting your health as low as you can when fighting Vegito, that seems to force Trunks' ultimate to trigger as soon as he switches in
What is the final episode map supposed to look like? I’ve done everything here and completed it like you, but the episode map shows I still have one path left unexplored on the right hand side?

Sounds like you're stuck in the loop I was talking about. Go back to the first mission and complete that and then follow the video to get Trunks to trigger his ultimate properly.
@ nvm I already did it and it works, thanks for the tips, before it was like stuck im already do all of the steps and it works most of them until trunks is switching with vegito and instead of him using the ult sword of hope, he was charging a gallick gun to me
What's happening? Easiest way is don't kill Vegeta, don't kill Goku either, let him bring your health down and bring his down until the battle ends. Then you should get the cut scene with corrupt fused Zamasu and you should start the battle against Vegito. Make sure not to kill Vegito and trunks should appear, you want your health to be quite low when Trunks switches in so he'll use his ultimate quickly, let the ultimate hit you and kill you and then you should complete the story. Hope that helps.

To fix this you need to: Go back to the "the ultimate fusion" mission and don't kill Vegeta, don't kill Goku either, let him bring your health down and bring his down until the battle ends. Make sure not to kill Vegito and trunks should appear, you want your health to be quite low when Trunks switches in so he'll use his ultimate quickly, let the ultimate hit you and kill you and then you should complete the story But in your case, you have to go back to the ultimate fusion episode and make sure you get the cut scene at the end with Goku and Vegeta looking up at corrupt fused Zamasu, that will 100% fix your issue. Then all you need to do is fight Vegito until he switches out, don't kill him, trunks will switch in and then he will use his ultiamte. I'm guessing you didn't trigger the cut scene with corrupt Zamasu before the Vegito/Trunks fight.
I've finished it all and saw the credits and everything but then if you look on the map there seems to be another path so I thought I haven't finished it yet so I replayed the fight against Vegito and trunks over and over again it was hell Vegito was spamming tp and throwing me left and right it was frustrating very much , I tried to figure out how to get to that path but I learned the hard way that it's not part of the story I guess or is there some kind of secret or what ??
Yea just keep restarting the fight if it's giving you trouble, sometimes the CPU is absolutely savage, other times it's laughably easy for whatever reason. Everything you need to complete it is in this video, the only fights and conditions you need to meet are, in the fusion battle don't kill Goku or Vegeta, in the following fight don't kill Vegito but get him low and he'll switch to Trunks, ideally you want to be at low health when this happens, then let Trunks kill you with his ultimate and you should see the dragon ball ending and get the trophy. You can lower the difficulty as well which disables "what if" endings and forces the normal story ending which gives you the trophy. Hope that helps!
This mission is a pain in the ass. I’ve lost count as to how many times I pressed “retry” in the game for Zamasu’s story in that fight. I was able to reach beyond Vegito to Trunks on normal difficulty and I’m still having problems trying to beat trunks when I got him to the final two health bars he starts doing some fuck shit, spamming key blast and vanishing like crazy to the point I couldn’t counterattack the AI and that segment is unforgiving and unrelenting and it just boils my fucking blood. It feels like I’m fighting an actual human being which is really fucked!
Yea this mission can definitely be tough. Because it's a standard mission and not an alternate, you can lower the difficulty to easy and still complete it though - have you tried that?

You are almost there mate, you want Vegito to be low and Trunks to switch in but then you need Trunks to kill you with his ultimate. Trunks only uses his ultimate if you've not killed Vegeta or Goku in the previous fight though. To speed things up you can lower the difficulty and it should force the normal story.

Yes in that case you have to defeat him within the time limit, it's quite a challenge but you can use a dragon orb if you're finding it too difficult - you can get them from wishing on Shenron to complete a story and then hover over the mission and you should see the button to use the orb

Came back to it this shit pissed me off I had like a bar of health left I beat vegito to his last bar and he switched out to trunks , I beat him down to 1hp and he wasn’t dying so I’m just playing defensively figuring if something will happen when they finished yapping feels like it goes on forever and I just die
It's really important that you go into the fight directly after the Vegeta/Goku fight. Are you starting the fight as corrupt fused Zamasu or normal Zamasu?
i don't know what they put in the cpu but it's so frustating i'm not even having fun i get destroyed by vegeto and just don't let me breath 1 sec and do so much dammage
Have you tried lowering the difficulty? It's worth trying again - sometimes the CPU is really tough and sometimes when you retry it's much easier. I have a few guides on my channel that can help you out!

If you have a dragon orb you can use it on that mission to make it easier. if you don't have one then you can get one by wishing to complete an episode on Shenron and he will give you a dragon orb.
Have you tried lowering the difficultly mate? It's the intended path and not a "what if" so lowering the difficulty (LT before the match) will allow you to complete the saga and earn the trophy. I'm currently working on a combo and vanishing tutorial to help people out which should be up soon.
If you lower the difficulty you will always get the canon route which is the orange line. Sins, gods and punishment is under illuminating god which is the canon route
I lowered vegitos health down to a centimeter and he will not stop spamming me and trunks never switches in.

i have gotten killed my trunks by the slashing move, and have gotten the cutscene but still cant progress aka still cant play futher then this story

Turns out the only way trunks could kill me as corrupted zamasu was if he killed Me with the ult the special triggers man

Trunks came in and didn’t do the ultimate and I had to retry
Try setting the difficulty lower because it should force the standard story line
