I love you! You’re great as a teacher, I’m learning bisaya as a suprise for my mom because I don’t speak bisaya but she did learn dutch so I’m on my way to learn bisaya!❤
Thank you for posting this video. It actually helped me a lot considering that the bisaya language structure is much different than other languages and this video made me understand it better. Once again thank you, this video is a step closer from understanding my relatives from my mums side. I will be waiting patiently for part 2 ❤

@@bisayaclassroombyjonah3891 hello Ma'am Jonah, could you do a video about the different verb focuses (actor focus, object focus, beneficiary/direction focus, instrument focus). Let me know if you have already made such a video.

Hello and daghan salamat for this lessons! You are a great teacher. Question for the example in 13:36 - would the English translation "Ber has a nice voice" possibly also be precise? (as he is the subject, rather then the voice). Just trying to get a hang of ot :-) Thank you again!

Hi Jonah 👋 My name is Samuel and I send you warm greetings from Chicago. I love your videos; they’re very clear and easy to follow! 👏 I have a question. 🙋🏻♂️ What’s the difference between Cebuano (language) and Bisaya?
Thank you so so much!! 💕My moms family speaks Bisaya and it's so hard to find study materials since most stuff is about Tagalog. Do you by any chance know any good English to Bisaya translator online?
ni Jonah- show's possession example: Balay ni Jonah. "Jonah's house." si Jonah- si is added before the subject noun. example: Gwapa si Jonah. "Jonah is pretty." in your sentence, the correct one should be, " Gamay og balay si Jonah. " Jonah has a small house.
Si- pertains to somebody u know. Gwapa Si Alex- alex is pretty Gahi si Chong- Chong is strong Ni- pertains to ownership Balay ni Alex - alexs house Dalaga ni Felix- Felix daughter
Nakakalito at "si" Jonah ang ginagamit imbes sa "ni". Halimbawa sa Tagalog "Malaki ang bahay ni Jonah." or to make the sentence more similar with a focus name marker "may malaking bahay si Jonah." I think I'll need to read and listen to a lot of material before I get used to this. Can you please recommend some podcasts, reading material, movies, etc. in Bisaya?

Maayong adlaw ate Jonah ug salamat:) Shouldn't it be: Kugihan ka ba? When we use ba as question marker?
Yes. That is correct grammatically. But conversationally in davao Bisaya, we just usually change the tone.😊
correct me if im wrong, but think this is more on the davao bisaya, since for me it is "kugihan ba ka?"

What's the difference between si vs ni? "Gamay og balay ni Jonah"? Is that incorrect?
ni Jonah- show's possession
example: Balay ni Jonah. "Jonah's house."
si Jonah- si is added before the subject noun.
example: Gwapa si Jonah. "Jonah is pretty."
in your sentence, the correct one should be, " Gamay og balay si Jonah. "
Jonah has a small house.
Si- pertains to somebody u know.
Gwapa Si Alex- alex is pretty
Gahi si Chong- Chong is strong
Ni- pertains to ownership
Balay ni Alex - alexs house
Dalaga ni Felix- Felix daughter
Salamat, if i was cheeky, i would ask... how do i ask for a daughters hand in marriage?
