    ako nga nagdako nga isa ka bisaya. lumulupyo sa Bukidnon, Mindanao. Ug didto pud ko natawo. Ang Mindanao usa ka dako nga lugar nga halos mga tawo naga-estorya o naga-tabi ug bisaya. Good luck sa mga naga-tuon ug bisaya, makahibalo ra gayud mo madugay, paningkamuti lang gayud. 頑張ってください。

    Thank you for posting this video. It actually helped me a lot considering that the bisaya language structure is much different than other languages and this video made me understand it better. Once again thank you, this video is a step closer from understanding my relatives from my mums side. I will be waiting patiently for part 2 ❤

    Question for the example in 13:36 - would the English translation "Ber has a nice voice" possibly also be precise? (as he is the subject, rather then the voice).

      Yes. That is correct grammatically. But conversationally in davao Bisaya, we just usually change the tone.😊

    What's the difference between si vs ni? "Gamay og balay ni Jonah"? Is that incorrect?

    • @bisayaclassroombyjonah3891
      @bisayaclassroombyjonah3891  ปีที่แล้ว

      ni Jonah- show's possession
      example: Balay ni Jonah. "Jonah's house."
      si Jonah- si is added before the subject noun.
      example: Gwapa si Jonah. "Jonah is pretty."
      in your sentence, the correct one should be, " Gamay og balay si Jonah. "
      Jonah has a small house.

    • @ares5142
      @ares5142 ปีที่แล้ว

      Si- pertains to somebody u know.
      Gwapa Si Alex- alex is pretty
      Gahi si Chong- Chong is strong
      Ni- pertains to ownership
      Balay ni Alex - alexs house
      Dalaga ni Felix- Felix daughter

    Nakakalito at "si" Jonah ang ginagamit imbes sa "ni". Halimbawa sa Tagalog "Malaki ang bahay ni Jonah." or to make the sentence more similar with a focus name marker "may malaking bahay si Jonah." I think I'll need to read and listen to a lot of material before I get used to this. Can you please recommend some podcasts, reading material, movies, etc. in Bisaya?
