This was actually when I was fascinated with Todd, the whole bad guy/tortured routine worked for me. It is no secret that I now hate the character with a passion, but there was point when RH portrayed him the character had real DEPTH, before he became cartoonish and mean. He wasn't just hateful. You could see the layers within him and even the goodness, esp. when Viki was going through her DID and Todd was on her side trying to help. Wow!
I definitely saw a Vibe....great actor's,There was alway's an undertone between them something you couldn't explain or analyze, the Actor's just had great chemistry.
Todd had been stabbed trying to apprehend the hospital rapist (later revealed to be Powell), and the guy got the better of him. I don't remember the episode exactly, but Marty either found him or was at the hospital when he was brought in.
Uh BIG difference between Luke and Laura vs Todd and Marty. Luke did not plan to rape Laura and was immediately sorry for what he did (true, genuine remorse). Todd plotted Marty's rape, it was premeditated. And he relentlessly harrassed and terrorized her after that. And the writers tried to make Todd into some kind of a sex symbol and Marty into a vindictive shrew!
Todd was the scum of the earth in my eyes, once he had raped Marty. Even more so when he stalked and terrorized her afterward. On GH, the Luke and Laura storyline was almost more disgusting--if Luke did not plan to rape Laura, was it an accident, or did he just rape her because he snapped, and he got so enraged that he "lost it"? Only a depraved person would claim to love someone and then turn around and rape them. (or killl them).
Guess that's why Trevor St. John earned his Todd the nickname "Pod", He *was* like a Pod person, occupying Todd's physical self. Not that Todd was an exemplary human being-- ever-- but there were so many instances where TSJ played Todd as a soulless and conscienceless freak, the inhuman Todd who had (to a great extent) been replaced by the Todd who was haunted by his loathsome former self. But in TSJ's version, that monstrous early Todd returned with a vengeance. One example was when Todd's beloved child Starr was a teenager, and had become involved with Marty's son Cole T., (the irony!), who got her pregnant, and then TSJ 's Todd went hunting them down. Pod was so determined to beat/ kill Marty's son for what he had done to Starr (though it was *not* rape), that he was running down some stairs chasing the boy, and his daughter was in his way, so he just shoved her; she fell, which knocked her out cold, and Pod continued to chase after Cole, not even showing any concern for his pregnant daughter. He definitely taught a lot of viewers to hate Todd thoroughly again.
Wow. I am still creeped out by this. I remember thinking that the show was really going to "go there" and make these two a couple. This scene could not have been any more romanticized! *shudder*
this was the beauty of the creation of todd he will never be 100% redeemable, he knows it, we know it, thus he is a great conflicted, tortured soul-one of the greatest in all of soaps, created by the great Roger Howarth-in lesser hands, he would have remained the day player he was hired for
@shelleyannbeme: Why the hell am I even here? Hummm, let me think. Because I have the right to comment on a S/L (either positively or negatively), JUST as much as YOU or anyone else have that exact SAME right.
My god I love this story, the best writing ever
Great collage
And that's a good thing? But Marty and Todd NO WAY. Todd TERRORIZED her for months. Short of a brain transplant, Marty would not want Todd.

Roger Howarth and that pretty flat ironed hair and goatee... 😍😘😍😘
What year was this clip from? Does anyone know? Thank you
What's really scary is I think the writers are given the fans what they want. :(

They probably could have been friends if those circumstances didn't happen, I don't know about the maybe more thing, cause I don't just see that vibe.
this is why rh is the real todd...tsj makes todd out to be a man whosa not sorry aboutthe rape...but rh makes todd tortured by whhat he did to marty

It still felt like there was an overall vibe of "if only I hadn't raped you, we could have/would have been good friends, maybe more".
I liked Todd's redemption storyline until they tried to turn it romantic.
I wish Todd stayed in prison.

DPO263 why the hell are you even here? if you dont like it,find something else..
Wow
They should have just gone ahead and tried it. What did the show have to lose it was going to get cancelled anyway.
