Tune my snare (and all my drums) pretty much using the method described here:

I tend to use the pitch "G" but it varies depending on the music I'm playing. I use a tune-bot or the iDrumTunePro app to locate the pitch.

How many Mike's do you use to record? I would like to start recording too any other tips would help a lot.
Ha, zero! Just used the iPhone 6s internal mic for almost all of the Grade piece demos I’ve done (including this one). My advice would be begin where you stand with the tools that you have! If you make stuff that is good and people want to watch it, that’s a brilliant start and you can grow it from there. Thanks so much for watching man! 👊🏻

Ha ha, something like that! Not sure what the opposite of a drag is?! I guess you're referring to the "2 +a" figure on the snare from bar 3. Loud snare on 2, two ghosted ones on "+a". Cheers!
