I'm used to larger, corded routers th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z so this was a different experience for me. Basically, this is an incredibly sweet machine, fits well in the hand, etc. It has slightly less power than I'm used to, but that's understandable. Maneuvering freehand takes some practice. These days, it's especially nice to be able to avoid power cords. This is above the level of a hobbyist but below a pro level.

Interesting info! In any case a couple of V bits is nice to have around. It's nice to be able to carve or cut typography on the CNC,

Thanks for the info, loved it... I'm guessing you weren't too meticulous with your Z-heights when switching tools? I can see in your last sign heights that not match in the finished products. I get those all the time... I think I need to get a Z-height sensor...

The valchromat looks interesting. Do you buy full size sheets of this or do you get offcuts from somewhere? Looks relatively expensive for a mdf style substrate...

    Very interested video.
    I'm ordering all four bits.
I now use Carveco Maker Plus software and was wondering how do you install the geometry of the flat pointed and pointed round over. I'm pretty sure that Maker Plus works the same way as Artcam. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think there is a link between carveco and art cam - pretty similar. But I'm using vectric aspire now courtesy of their marketing team. My copy of art cam was too out of date to use so I gave up with that. For unusual shaped bits like ogee or moulding types, in Vectric you need to draw the profile as a vector file and link that to the tool database so it might be a similar thing for carveco?

@@dominicaaaaa Just note that the two part fillers can be quite harmful so it's worth reading the data sheet for them... didn't realise that at the time.
