    1:46 Hi Captain Joe, I just recently discovered your channel and have binge watched (and liked) most of the videos. I have limited experience with fiberglass and (inspired now) would like to try a jon boat or small bass boat. Consequently, I would really appreciate videos or information on how to build a plug of a slightly complex hull... like videos on how you built the 29's hull plug. Love your channel and explicit demonstrations. And thanks for sharing your knowledge!!

    I’m a new subscriber. I do high end body work and paint that dabbles in composites heavily. Setting up my shop for vacuum infusions and mold making for carbon parts for cars. The composite market has grown crazy expensive at the vendors that’s I’ve used. But your discount code at fiberglass warehouse has made it affordable especially with the free shipping even to Michigan. Love the channel so far. Looking forward to seeing more.

    I watched an experiment on how to keep mosquitoes away. With a good fan, like yours, their little wings cant go against that amount of air movement. If you have the fan always blowing in your direction, you shouldn't have a problem. Not sure about the yellow flies, but I'm sure it would work. Just like on breezy days, it's hard to find the mosquitoes. Not sure if the air movement would affect the work you ar doing.

    • @FishBumpTV
      @FishBumpTV  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, the fans do help. But we often turn the fan down or off for better audio quality on the videos. Maybe one of these days we can have a climate controlled shop. That would be nice! As always thanks for watching and commenting!

    Captain, thanks for all of your detailed work instructions. I have a suggestion for the biting flies….we have them too. A standard dryer sheet from your laundry room. Rub it on your exposed skin before you go out….it smells good and is non toxic. The flies hate it…and will not bite. I also hang one in the back of my hat brim. The flies will stay away from your head.

    • @FishBumpTV
      @FishBumpTV  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I will have to try that! I try to stay away from sprays and lotions in the shop because I don't want to risk contaminating any of our projects. Thanks for your suggestion and for watching!!

    Capt. Joe, another fantastic video. Funny that you made the comment about "tidbits" from previous videos. As I'm starting the next step in project boat, I had to correct a previous owner's "bad" repair using 5200. Using the DeBond Marine Formula you mentioned about a year ago worked great! Not cheap, $35 for a small spray can, but wow! A couple of sprays sprays probably saved me $100 of aggravation, and there is still plenty left in the can.
    I had never heard of DeBond. Thank you!

    The Abralon disc would work great for this operation. I use them a lot for wet sanding some significant scratches in nicer boats. They remind me of the screen door type material you find on sheet rock sanders......but much finer. Downside is they are pricy.

      The Grey part that we built first is called a plug, it is basically the mold for the actual mold. The orange part that we just built is the finish mold that we will build the actual fiberglass hardtop in. I know it can be confusing, so that's why I wanted to do this very detailed series to help people understand the process. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!
