    I went here in 2018
It was average at best , the bed had sand in it on arrival lol .
Yes they had the silly rules when I was there too , it was a fairly cheap vacation mind

I wouldn’t have minded so much if it had been cheap, but it was fairly pricey and sold as being a high class 5 star resort.

Can you go in the other hotels like Makadi Spa and the grand Makadi? The hotel looks amazing! Thanks for your video.

Thank you for you kind comment.
I’m not sure. We were never told that we could but that doesn’t mean you can’t. Sorry I can’t be more specific.

Also you failed to mention when you were at joker , seems to be prior to any service time as there are no other guests anywhere , how ever you were served , which is nice

The incident had happened the night before. I decided to record there the next morning when it was empty (see my previous comment)
I wouldn’t expect service outside operating hours.
I assume your a fan of the Makadi Palace? I didn’t hate it. The grounds are truly stunning but there is room for improvement.

Grosse Auswahl ,für jeden was dabei.

Much nicer hotels in Egypt . I also wouldn't class that as a 5* . The Fort Arabasque next door is much better and the staff are brill.

I can well believe it. The ground look amazing but there are too many things that let it down. 😞

It's a shame (albeit that hotel is not my cup of tea as it is more family oriented) .It a lovely hotel, very big , naff beach, crammed on like sardines and narrow if I remember.

Very narrow beach. It doesn’t feel like sand underfoot, it has a grit like texture.

Question, did you ask guests and hotel if you could video them ? Some of your information is misleading, lobbies are public domain , that is where the business of the hotel is conducted for non guests , the lobby terrace, which is the beginning of the all of the all inclusive hotel begins , is all inclusive

    • @thegadaboutdad1057
      @thegadaboutdad1057  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

I received permission from reception to film. I didn’t ask individual people but avoided as many as possible. If anyone asked me not to film by them, I didn’t and if anyone sees themselves for a split-millisecond and wants it removing I’m quite happy to do so. Many people were filming/taking photographs.
You say the reception is public domain, which is fair enough, but they know who their all inclusive guests are because they wear wristbands. So no, this hotel isn’t all inclusive. There are also other strange charges…orange juice for 2€? Some of the mark-ups in the restaurant are extortionate too. Egypt is a very cheap country to live in. True 5 star inclusive tend not to do this.

Lobbies may be public domain, but if you are wearing a wristband, which denotes all inclusive, then why would the lobby bar not recognise that?

Hello, as for fresh juice prices, they are usually charged around 2€ also in other Egyptian hotels. Some hotels charge them, some don't. I have been in 4 hotels (4 to 5*), fresh juices were charged. @@thegadaboutdad1057

The environment is stunning and the rooms are nice enough (a bit rough around the edges!). It’s the little things that stop it being 5 ⭐️ Miserable staff, average food, all the little up-charges etc

It does look beautiful, what a shame that the staff let the place down. I can understand the smoking thing, though, I hate it!

It was everywhere! I believe tax on cigarettes is minimal in Germany so it’s a very popular pastime and most of the guests were German.

The "pay for extras" is a standard scam in hotels run by "Red Sea Hotels", as is the high quota of surly staff.
We stayed at another of their hotels, the Siva Grand Beach, and it was the worst hotel we've ever stayed in.
Try the Mercure in Hurghada. It's small and lovely architecture. But for your son no slides etc. But the beach there is great.

I’ve been to a few AI hotels around the world with hidden extras. It does wind me up 😂
      Thank you for the recommendation!

Hello, was Mercure really good? Can you compare in other hotels in Hurghada/Makadi or Marsa Alam? Thanks

It’s hard to say how much the hotel cost because I booked it as a package.
Sorry if you found the music too loud.
