I am an interior designer. Agree, arkitek. Gusto ko lang sabihin sa marami na may misconception sa mga interior designers. Hindi lang kami nandito to make your interiors appealing, decorating is just 1% of our job.

Interior Design was once part of architecture, although tinuturo pa rin sa architecture ang interior design. Kasi there is still part of interior design that is still in the realm of architecture. Architects can do interior design. If you have an architect you may or may not need an interior designer.
During my lifetime humiwalay ang Interior Design sa architecture and tatapusin mo siya with Industrial Design naman. Kasi, something changed. Padami na nang padami ang mga kinds of spaces that needs designing and space planning and make it work for humans even animals that has nothing to do with a house or a building.
Interior Design grew out off architecture.
It is not popular but interior designers aren't only limited to houses and buildings. We also do boats, cars, private planes, and private buses: campers, RVs. Basically, anything that a human enters and dwells needs interior designing. That's why important din yung second coarse namin, industrial design.
Going back to architecture, if I we're to pick kailan papasok ang ID, I would suggest sa simula pa lang ng design phase. Example na lang, hindi kami pwede magtibag ng load bearing walls. We still need the architects approval, sometimes, even structural engineers pa. We can't do skylights, kahit gusto namin, magwait pa ng approval ng architect or even engineers. Yung nauuso na light well or air well. Same thing. Approvals. Kaya it's best na sa simula pa lang, makapag-chip-in na kami sa design ideas ng interior na makakaapekto to sa overall design ng whatever it is that needs designing.
Kasi, eventually, ganun din. We will need the architects' and engineers' approval. If we do it late in the project, magiging expensive. That's when architects, engineers, and interior designers usually clash-and we're the ones who are usually looked down to.

Paano ang tamang paraan para makahanap ng suitable partners (architects cum contractors) para sa pagpapatayo ng bahay at ano ang fees sa process na to?

Arch, I think you are talking in mostly in residential house, Dito sa UAE kalimitan trabaho ng ID ay nagsisimula sa space layout lalo na kung commercial ang project like restaurants, bar etc. Cguro may konte ring engineering involve lalo if they design kinds of accent wall, celing open or suspended that inline in building code, not to opend arch but some ur thoughts in works of ID is like "interior decorator" I'm also architect but my work here in UAE is interior designer.

Minimum area for a bedroom po is 6 sqm. (2m x 3m), according po sa Building Code. :D

Oo, kami architects d rin naman kami perpekto pero atleast inaral and minaster namin ang process ng pag gawa ng bahay bago pagandahin ng isang ID ang loob.

Wala pong architect na hindi marunong magdrawing or hindi natuto magdrawing. Drawing po kasi ang communication instrument namin.

An Arch't only has Basic knowledge of interior designing and materials. Look for experienced ID not a newly archt license.

National requirement po ba ang signature ng Arkitekto? Bakit po mayroon akong mga kakilala na ang contractor at designer ng bahay nila ay civil engineer at hindi arkitekto pero legal naman po na nabigyan ng building permit at naitayo ang kanilang mga bahay?
Dati kasi allowed yung civil engr na makapag sign ng architectural plans. Noong naipasa ang RA 9266, only architect can practice architecture in the Philippines. May mga municipality or city sa Philippines na supportado ang RA 9266 kaya di makapag sign ang civil engr sa lugar nila pagdating sa architectural plans. May mga ibang lugar naman na nagmamatigas pa rin yung ibang civil engr at di rin strict yung lugar sa full implementation ng RA 9266. Kung batas ang susundin dapat Architect talaga kukunin pagdating sa architectural design etc. Ang civil engr/ structural engr. naman pagdating sa structrural integrity ng building.

Sa probinsiya hindi na kailangan ang architect basta simple lang na bahay ang gusto mong ipatayo kahit concrete pa yan dahil hindi lahat maka afford mag hire nang architect.Local lang na panday na marunong sa masonry magawa na yong bahay mo.

Malaki po ang pagkakaiba ng architect sa interior designer. I'm an Interior Designer at iba po ang field namin. Masyadong malayo po. Kailangan pa po na magaral ng Interior Design ang isang Architect kung gusto niyang pasukan ang interior design field. Dito sa Pilipinas hindi alam ng mga tao ang trabaho namin. Akala nila ang Architect ay puede din na Interior Designer.
