Today Now was one of my favorite segments on the Onion and is such a great parody of morning news shows. I've been hoping they would make an Anchorman style movie about Jim and Tracey all these years.
I don’t know how to tell you this… but pig haggerty- I mean Jim… went missing after being the pork master general in Cleveland Ohio. You know, he disappeared right around the time that pig man showed up…
@@Liusila Sadly the production quality dropped into the toilet since 10+ years ago when they were doing the morning show etc. parodies. Pity, all the old content was so good, now it’s just TikTok slideshows with text commentary etc.
Today Now was one of, if not the most hysterical segments of the Onion. They really did a excellent job of touching on the vapid, superficial, insensitive and Insincere aspects of news people. Talking heads who are concerned only with ratings and avoiding criticism of their need to exist. This is comedy gold.

No, they're as good as the anchors at any news station. Fake and shitty, don't know what you're talking about? Or is it an Onion network reference, if so I retract my whatever.. can't think of the word
They're news anchors - they're there to look inoffensive, plaster on a fake smile and read off of cue cards, not for their acting/improv abilities. Which is, incidentally, the very thing that the "Today Now" Onion segments are mocking.
