Here is another way to look at it with the whole gun control. Where do the majority of the mass shootings happen? They happen in areas where law abiding citizens can't have guns aka schools, churches, and stores inside city limits. The government officials then use the "tragedy" to make it seem like guns are the issue when guns are only a tool. They use that in order to take away any chance of defending yourself and you having to rely on THEM for protection and thus entrenching their power. What if that same government ends up becoming authoritarian and dictatorial? There is nothing the citizens can do because they gave up their right to defend themselves and are now the slaves of the government that they, the citizens, decided to rely on for "protection." Australia is currently a perfect example of this. I bet the majority of Australians wish they hadn't given up their guns now.
The medical neglecting of vets is unacceptable and these men and women on the frontlines should never be homeless after the war is done with them. Zero reason to not have some sort of housing available for them and medical help. They house them while they need them, so its possible. Even if it warehouse full of bunks and doctors access. We gotta do better
