What really made me sad is that sonic decided to die with his friend. I mean it is nice that this scene shows how much he care about his friend and doesn't want to leave him at all but I think tails would say (live for me). This is very sad...

I love this even if I don’t know the whole story behind it! Sonic and tails’ friendship here is genuine and really makes you believe that sonic meant everything to tails like how it did before the end on adventure 1, unlike something like lost world where all he does is fight with eggman and thinks sonic pities him.
I know this was originally a creepypasta, but if there was any real way for sonic to go out, this would be it for me.

Which won’t happen due to sink being the sonic from the very first sonic game where he had no friends so nobody is actively trying to find him and this is when spin dash didn’t exist so he is stuck down there endlessly dying and experiencing drowning due to sheer willpower

Fun fact: sink is sonic but in a zombified state and cant die, poor guy is left to drown for eternity until someone saves him. The soul sonic that appears mid song is I’m assuming his will to live that’s keeping him alive because it’s so strong. Really good animation btw

Good on Sonic for remembering that he had 3 more lives left. Miles will come back after he respawns at a checkpoint. If he were to let Miles take the bubble then that would just be a waste.
After Eggman won, this is how punished Sonic and Tails for daring to defy him.

I have an idea for the good ending. So at the end instead of sonic missing the Air Bubble He collects it Saves himself collect as another air bubble and then saves tails and brings himself and tails back up to the surface :)

Tbh if you think about it, this is a bad case for sonics universe. He was the hero and Tails the sidekick. Now with them gone, Eggman can pretty much do what he what's. Unless Amy and Knuckles get a 40 foot tall mech suit or smth.
