Suipi is samoan version of casino which americans play. The way we play casino. 10 of diamonds is worth 3 pts. 2 of spades worth 2 pts. Aces worth a pt each. Player with most cards (cards) is a point. Player with most spades is a point. 11 pts total. If a person makes a play that sweeps all cards on the table that would be extra point called a sweep. Everytime a person does this is an extra point.
The purpose is to collect as many cards possible by matching your hand cards to any, some or all cards on the table that equal the same value as the card you put dwn to collect. You only allowed to put dwn one card per turn. That one card can be used to: 1. Collect another card of the same value. I.E. - he couldve collected the 10diamonds on the table for easy points... or 2. Add to the cards on the table. I.E. - he combined the ace (1) n 7 to make 8 n threw his one card dwn that was a 2 to make 10 (mind you he has a 10 in his hand but you can only put dwn one card) another example if that ace was a 3instead, he couldve combined it with the 7 to make 10 n he couldve collected by putting dwn the 10 in his hand n that wouldve been his one card. So if youre adding to cards n not collectijg on your turn, you leave the possibility of someone else putting dwn a 10 n now theyre collecting that 10diamond along wit the ace,7 n 2.... finally 3. You can put any card dwn you feel you dnt need if you aint got nothing to add or collect. Point system is scored by the most cards n most spades. Youll develop a strategy once you get it cause its difderent playin 1v1 n a group
