Deffo needs a part 2. Rob’s absolutely spot on about the weekly clubbing. I’m 20 and avoid the clubs as much as I can and book an event once every month or so because of how expensive it all is.
Bounce just wouldn’t work if it was slower, the Bpm is on the rise again anyway so it’s technically more “Modern” to be faster now. It’s like comparing apples to oranges when comparing something like bounce to techhouse, techhouse isn’t rave music it’s just standard dance music so it works at the slower Bpm but even then that’s climbed up to to around 130-133 Bpm now
@@robcaindj tbf I haven’t listened to much of the older stuff, it’s before my time like , was too young for pleasure rooms and Wigan pier era aswell , so most of my experience with bounce is the new stuff but the speed of it is a big part of what I personally like about it. You can’t go mad to like 130bpm and that’s what I wanna do when I’m raving 💀 😭
@@naughtyducky6325 we used to rave to stuff that speed mate. When it’s a bit slower it appeals to a mass audience. The current pace means it only attracts a very core few. Yet Hannah Laing playing at 135bpm gets 15000 people in an arena getting a sweat on. Sometimes we have to go back to go forward. In my opinion anyway.
@@robcaindj I think in this day in age it’s also about being an influencer and social media presence and if you’re massive you can pretty much play what ever you want and people will dance to it. If James hype played a donk track, at 150bpm, people would go off.

You say that mate but the original bounce tunes from Holland are 130-138bpm and they’re timeless.
