      Possibly. After recoding I had to use restore for a project and it’s not as straight forward. We need to connect with FTP.

    I've been using ManageWP so far, but this seems like a much better system. I just activated the trial and started testing. Thank you, this is great! :)

      Just wondered how it has been going now for you? Have you been shifted from manageWP? I would have loved to see how professional the Reports looks like with Umbrella?

    I've been so used to scrolling down site screens in ManageWP each morning, and getting an instant 'red flag' if a site is down. It would certainly be a great visual feature if Umbrella could include this kind of quick snapshot.

    I've been testing it too - and like you, I just LOVE the way it looks compared to other tools. But, I'm not quite ready to move yet... I'm currently using BlogVault and they have some SERIOUS security features built in. WP Umbrella's security is, basically, non-existent. If they were able to compete in that area, I'd be interested.
    BlogVault runs me about $3 a site (which _is_ more), but with daily malware scans and automatic malware removal - it's been well worth it to have all that built in. I've had sites on there for over 2 years now and _NEVER_ had a security problem with a site using it (but I have onboarded sites with known malware and BlogVault cleaned it right up).
    Hopefully the team at WP Umbrella is working on some features to compete with that.

    • @LytboxStudio
      @LytboxStudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ll have to check out BlogVault. The security is still lacking for sure. On ManageWP at least did daily scans and alerted to know vulnerabilities.
      As fast as Umbrella has grown over the year, I’m sure they have something planned. Daily malware scans and removal would be sweet!

    • @Castorelo
      @Castorelo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      but BlogVault is like 10x more expensive than WP Umbrella ;)

    • @kylevandeusen
      @kylevandeusen 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Castorelo Hummm. I'm not a math wizard, but the 50-site plan is $150. That makes it average out to $3 per site.

    • @Castorelo
      @Castorelo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kylevandeusen there is not 50 site plan - max 10 sites, a Pro Plan costs $1,999 a year / 10 sites / 12 months = $16.5 a month per site. WP Umbrella is $2 a month. so 8.25x more. But that's assuming you can install it on 10 sites in a day you bought a subscription. The Plus package costs less, it's. 3.5x mor expensive (again, assuming you can install it on 10 sites from day 1).

    Jeffrey, when managing all these sites do you need unique Google Analytic accounts, or can you have multiple sites on one account? Thank you.

    • @LytboxStudio
      @LytboxStudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. I use just 1 account for GA and either set it up for clients and turn it over while keeping access or the client will get me permissions access to my account. You only need 1 account and clients can invite you to manage and read their analytics

    How safe are tools like umbrella or manage wp? I mean you could destroy or corrupt your live website through a service like that right? So... This is the only thing that I am concerned about it. It is basically like giving away your credentials to a service dashboard. Any experience or opinions about that?

      That’s going to take either quite a bit of custom work, a plugin, or a robust theme. If you aren’t comfortable coding in a menu like that I’d start exploring and test menu plugins.

    managewps dashboard is outdated, that's not a lie, but you can choose between american or european server (very important for german users). Restoring a backup is so easy with managewp. with wp umbrella i have to enter ftp information first to be able to restore a backup. with manage wp this does not have to be done. so what is the biggest advantage of wp umbrella to manage wp except for the design and that wp umbrella is cheaper?

    • @LytboxStudio
      @LytboxStudio  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question. The price is cool but it’s not that much cheaper. For me, the reason I changed and the advantage I see with Umbrella is an active team and support. These guys are on it!
      Last year one of our backups on ManageWP got corrupted, messed up the site and support was no where to be found. Took 2 days for them to get back with a generic response for an emergency situation. There has been no growth and is pretty much a stagnant platform. And I don’t trust their backups.
      Umbrella on the other hand has active support and in just a year has made huge leaps. They’ve also partnered with the same company behind WP Rocket and I’m sure we can expect another year of big updates.

    Hello, I have a question on this topic. I have been looking for a plugin for a long time that can install or update plugins on several sites at once using files, manually. that is, we go to the administration panel, select the sites that we want to update, upload our plugin file, for example, and it, in turn, is loaded onto all selected sites. Perhaps someone has encountered this problem and has already found a solution, I would be very grateful! Thank you!

      I’ve never done this, but I had to, this first p;ace I would look in at MainWP. It has all kind of features for developers managing multiple sites.

    Aren't the services provided here something ordinary people can do? Are there people paying money for this service
    If the service Can a customer install A plug-in with a 30-day usage condition and automatically cancel it if the customer does not extend it again after 30 days? I wonder if there is a function that can do this

    • @LytboxStudio

      This is a service to help web designers, developers, freelancers, and agency owner manage multiple WordPress websites. Trying to manage WordPress websites without a WP management platform will be very time consuming and difficult to manage. Plus there are functions like uptime monitoring that can’t be done manually

    I can't even consider WP Umbrella until they have automated updates. This is such a basic feature that they're missing.

    • @LytboxStudio
      @LytboxStudio  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Maybe after they launch the safe update feature. I've talked with the founder and they are taking a safe approach and putting time into each big feature to do them right. A big one they launched recently was the security monitoring with Patchstack integration. Also the teams feature and more. Some features seem basic but can be more complex to do them correctly.
