No.. You are wrong.. Answer is 100ml only. Nowhere it has mentioned 400ml will be constant. When we increase the alcohol concentration, the total solution value also increases. This can be solved also like below : Initial amount of alcohol is x Let x ml of pure alcohol is to be added. Then, Amount of alcohol becomes 60 + x Total amount of solution becomes 400 + x => (60+x)/(400+x) = 32/100 Solving you will get 100ml as final answer.

Then,
Amount of alcohol becomes 60 + x
Total amount of solution becomes 400 + x
