I like the bag and capacity. Driving 4-5 hours in the Pacific Northwest in driving rain would be an issue. It should be sold as water resistant, not waterproof. But just keeping things dirt and dust free would be a big benefit. Thanks Rick.

Question: On a number of cargo carrier reviews I’ve seen mention putting a liner or pad between the bag and the cargo carrier. People have said their bag has shown wear from rubbing on the cargo carrier. Would using a pad in that way affect using the straps it comes with?
Hi Cindy, I guess it depends on what you are putting the bag into or carrying it on. On my hitch basket you could put a small covering around where it touches the basket with no problem. Same if you were to attach it to your roof basket or something similar. Hope that helps.
Rick it seems like it does the job and holds quite a bit of cargo! And some guys might want to include a small chair for a mother in law rumble seat. But might get hot and stuffy! Maybe the manufacturer can sew in a clear window and screen for those customers!!! Have a great rest of your weekend!!!
As always, thanks for another excellent vid. My only concern would be how the bag blocks the rear license plate. I got pulled over by highway patrol cause my hitch-mounted bike rack (folded op) partially obscured the plate.

Rick Hutton Just got a warning. I agree on it being a hassle to move the plate to a visible spot on the trailer. However, as you point out, that bit of hassle would afford significant cargo space! Hope you continue to receive mercy to review.
You're a brave man letting water sit on your car in the Arizona sun lol... FWIW, if you sprayed my old Jeep's top directly with a hose it would leak, but was never an issue in the rain... The bag is "Jeep Rated" lol.

Great review and great drone shots as always. I agree with the many on the comments. Driving in the rain on long road trips would be a problem. Nevertheless, a great product to keep the dust off the gear in the Desert. Might be a great option to keep bikes in there.

Well, there's one good thing about the bag not being waterproof: If it's raining while you're driving to your camping location, you've got all that extra water with you so you can camp longer. Nice... ;-) -- BR
