This sounds spiritual but its true. I have a super strong desire to go deeper into Jesus by investing hours in the word of God and walks in the morning when I normally couldnt due to work. I have such a strong desire for closeness with Jesus this year. I miss Him.😢
Thank you for addressing screen management. That is my biggest challenge as a parent. My son particularly wants screens in the morning so it’s a huge challenge.
So much wisdom! Biggest takeaway for me is intentionality! ❤
I love the authenticity from the kids speaking out their minds of what they expect as well ..
I have a preschooler and a toddler...summer in the UK starts next month I'm a little nervous 😅
What we do is write out summer activities on paper, then put them in a jar and every child takes a turn taking one out and that's what we'll do in the day.
Love this idea! How fun!

I extra love the episodes when your beautiful kids join - so precious!
Lol ! I'm not the only one establishing the "morning routine"
( 4 boys ages 16 to 8) and screens In The afternoon..I still find my kids are just waiting for the clock to strike screen time.. 😅
😮
This is such good and wholesome content! I love seeing the kids on here, more of that please, thank you so much for showing real family on the digital space. Bless you and bless your family!
Do free things too. Bird and butterfly watching. Pick flowers.
There are lots of free things in most communities to go do. Nature trails, museums, feeding animals at animal rescues
I live in Montana, but grew up in Ky-Tn. I grew up going to the Smoky Mountains tons. They are beautiful. I’ve now fallen in love with the Rocky Mountains. The hikes are incredible. Clingmans Dome. Cades Cove.
Thank you for encouraging parents to enjoy the gift of time with their kids and not just figure out things to keep them busy. I was able to be home and homeschool my two younger kids and loved having them around . If could do over would have loved to engage with them more
This is so beautiful ❤ thank you for sharing 🕊️
I love this idea thank you for sharing✨
I love hearing from you all together! So special! I also really like the pack a lunch idea because that would allow us to have so much more freedom when we leave the house in the morning.
This is so great!!!!!
This is so good!! Thank you!
I love watching Bluey with my kids before bed, favourite part of our routine 😊
These kids would be respectful with teachers you can tell.
Hiking, kayaking, reading, gardening
We have five kiddos (ages 3 to 17) and understand the need for routine even during summer months. It sounds so neatly packaged to have chores and areas of growth in the morning and the afternoons for screens or an outing. The struggle I have found is the kid's attitude and resistance towards this, as this is how things operate during the regular school year. I sensed this with your kiddos and some of the comments they made. :) I totally get that it's not about our kid's feelings (because few are the children that actually WANT to work and challenge themselves); however, having implemented this, it's not always as stress-free and smooth as it might sound. I really enjoy your videos and the content you include in them. Parenting feels like such an impossible task if it were not for knowing our kids ultimately are the Lord's.
WOW. This is really good😊. Thank you❤❤❤
Love you guys! This is such great advice! The thumb nail is hilarious btw 😂
Any trip outside of what we are so custom to. When we go camping in new places it’s always hard to leave. TN or NC mountains in hard places to travel are very rewarding and bring great rest.
Great job guys ❤️
Lol ! Strict parents....so funny! your son
I'm hoping this summer we will get to build a 4 wheeling trail in the jungle of our back yard. And screen out! No just kidding ...I'm too strict 4 that.
Love your guys stuff. Thank you it's encouraging
Thank you for sharing this edifying message. God is so wonderful! He is always on time and this message came on time! Thanks for sharing what God has spoken to you guys :)
LOVE THE PART IN 18:45 ABOUT REST
Rest and Recharge 👍🏾👍🏾💯
Rest recharge in Him!! That is me!!
Or an adventure without a lunch box is foraging and Berry picking eating.
What do you do when you don't have a car or any fund's? I start my new job next month which by then it will only be a couple of weeks before school starts.
Do you know of any good books that you'd recommend for young teens?..that are family oriented and fun??
Do you have Sabbath day on Saturday?
Do you have any reading lists or book recommendations that are faith based and great for kids?
Yes, we have avid readers but find it hard to find positive uplifting books. Wholesome family adventure stories...any ideas?? ❤
Bike trails.
