    It is always best to wait 4 hours until you 1st plug it in - Fridges and freezers are full of fluid that's used to cool the compartments - If your fridge gets shaken around especially when delivered - Its best to let the fluids settle down to normal before powering it up - It also helps regulate and balance the compressor to prevent any loud noises

    Thank you for taking the time to do such a great video. Nice detail. Now that you have had it for a few months is there anything that you dont care for? Also about how long would you say the cord is? Thank you 😊.

      I love this mini fridge we still have it for the kids drinks and snacks. I have no complaints and my favorite part is the drink or soda holders in the door. It's easy to cleans and quiet. I just measured the cord the best I could and it is about 4.5 to 5 feet long.

    Great review I have the same one. I have it set to 4 for the temperature but I'm noticing some ice on the back wall of the refrigerator. I'm wondering if I'm going to have to defrost it soon. How often do you defrost yours?

    • @Backyardbloom
      @Backyardbloom  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes When you crank it pass 4 on the dial ice does frost up on the back wall. However I turn down the dial to about a 2 and the ice slowly disappear. Once gone I turn it back up. When I refill it I turn the temperature to a higher number

    Great video! Just curious (I just got one today), on the refrigerator door (but not the freezer) does yours close about 3/4 of the way and then require an extra push against resistance to fully close it? There’s a little white plastic piece that makes contact with the metal hinge on the bottom and it’s probably there to prevent the door from slamming shut, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t only my unit. Thanks!

    • @Backyardbloom
      @Backyardbloom  ปีที่แล้ว

      no mine is easy to close, with a small effort of a push. There isnt a white plastic piece near my hinge on the refrigerator door or freezer door. BUt I do notice there is a small knob that rest near the hinge that doesnt interfer with the door( this part does not touch the hinge though). Near the opening part of near the door, there are 2 small round finishes that stop the slam of the door

    • @Malrats
      @Malrats ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Backyardbloom The piece of white plastic that I’m referring to is the piece that you’d have to take off in order to switch the orientation of the door, so it should be there. It’s not that it’s difficult to close the door, it’s just that it isn’t possible to push it one time and have it close all the way in one motion. It stops roughly a couple of inches before closing all the way and then with light pressure it closes all the way. At least that’s how it is for me and appears that way in video reviews that I’ve watched of it, but I didn’t hear anyone mention it.

    • @Backyardbloom
      @Backyardbloom  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Okay yes you might be right. I think I know what you are referring to. It can be that way whening closing.

      In the box it is definitely a two person move or lift. Have a Dolly or handcart will mostly help. The box is way wider than the fridge. Out of the box maybe about about 30 pounds but not to sure. Very easy to push in place once unboxed

    This is a much nicer fridge than the previous fridge u reviewed and returned due to its damage. How loud is this fridge and where did u purchase it? I bought the Whirlpool mini fridge but have not unboxed it. It's mixed reviews some say it's loud, some quiet.

    • @Backyardbloom
      @Backyardbloom  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got this fridge from home depot. And it is my favorite so far. It is that loud in a large space or when on. But when I turn it off you can notice the space becomes slightly quieter. For any sounds that it may make is worth the fridge for me because it perfect for our needs.

    Does the compressor make a coil whine or screeching sound when it is running?

    • @Backyardbloom
      @Backyardbloom  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it doesn't. I only heard a cluck when I turn on the fridge other than that I haven't heard anything. My main or other large older refrigerator is loud and can heard that in the other room.

    • @Backyardbloom
      @Backyardbloom  ปีที่แล้ว

      That ringing sound you hear in thr background is my older larger full size refrigerator. I haven't had a problem or heard any noise from this refrigerator here since I kicked on the compressor. There is a click and nothing else that I can from it. It's pretty much silent. I also allowed yhe time to rest before turning it on

    • @Backyardbloom

      I do not find it really loud. Our regular refrigerator is must louder. When you first turn it on you can hear a faint hum that goes away. For me it is much quieter than our last 2. Honestly it can also be challenging with all the noise in our kitchen. Overall less quiet than a fan on low

      I chose to buy it locally so if I needed to return it, it would be less hassle vs. returning it to an online store.
      The warranty is 1 year on P&L
      5 YEARS on the Compressor part alone. No labor. It is the longest compressor warranty I have seen on a mini fridge.
      Follow the owner's manual very closely before plugging it in. You must keep the fridge upright for about a day, or so before plugging it in. Get a fridge thermometer to help set the freezer, and fridge sections.
      Keep freezer at zero, or below degrees F. Keep fridge under 40F to keep food fresh. Fool around with the thermometer to achieve these desired settings. Keep a 2 to 3 ins free space around the fridge. Dust/ brush the compressor space with a special long brush you can buy from the store. Your fridge will last, and cool better. Don't overload your fridge, it won't cool efficiently. READ YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL.
