@YoungNails Quick question. Could you, after building up the thickness, put another thin layer of builder gel inside the form or clear tip and put it over top of the stability/apex layer and cure it? This might lessen the filing as you would be left with essentially an already smooth surface... Is that possible?

Tried this method which I may add is like using pop its or dual forms and, while it didn't save me much time it did save me some time. However...I didn't much like them (done a set on myself) but, my client loved them!
I have some clients with super deep c curve and "pinchy" sidewalls (if that makes sense). It is SO HARD to get a form to fit correctly and this would be PERFECT for that! Thanks!!

Honey Toombs look up duel forms. They sell them on eBay. They are actually good for acrylics too .. but these guys are using actual tips. The duel forms work with both.
Hi guys! I have been having an issue with the Finish Gel, maybe you can help. I had acrylic (blush pink) on my nails, I did a fill in with gel sculptor concealer pink. Filled and finished. Top coated with the finish gel and I am not getting shine. Its dull, like it not completely cured (after 30 secs). Si then on a different nail I put it in for 2 min. some patches were extra shiny and others were dull, what am I doing wrong? I specifically saw that the areas that had acrylic were shiny, not the areas with the sculptor gel were dull.
I notice if the nail isn't super clean before applying the finish gel it won't look right when cured. Is all the dust, oil or any kind of residue cleaned off?
Phyllis Carlson you find a tip that DOES FIT a client... duh. They're made in ALL DIFFERENT SIZES you find one that fits your client... that's pretty self explanatory if you even only have a SLIGHT understanding of nails.
Filed Away Nails ......i have a great understanding thank you for your negative feed back. One example is there are women out there that have Aka spoon nails that are so wide tips don't work. In this casr you have to even modify a form to sculpt a beautiful natural looking nail.
Phyllis Carlson that pop on/off form stuff is SO unbelievably old, there a million videos on TH-cam from like 6-9 years ago about this. Basically if one doesn't fit you cut/file/customize it.
Phyllis Carlson I too have the same question. I have one regular client whose thumbs are very wide. I do not use tips in my services as a personal preference, as I prefer sculpting. Though the largest tip wouldn't fit her thumb anyways. She always gets long coffins or stilettos, which is awkward looking with such a wide base. I've wondered if applying gel to one side flush to the side wall, curing, and then adding just enough to fill in towards the other side flush to the side wall would work. Although, at that point, sculpting with a form would probably be faster. 🤔

I've played with this technique and i think it's great, if your client is in a hurry, or so... but i do prefer the sculpting, if only for the organic base to do 3-D on. Congrats to the winners!

Yes its been around for a loong time... not a new technique, but one that we like very much.

Nicole Kennedy-Beaumont You can...basically. Dual forms work the same way and can be used with all sculpting mediums. (Even poly-gel type)

Base is part of the synergy system... its the first layer for gel application.
