thanks so much for all the love and support over the last while, I really enjoyed the time at my parents house but am so ready for this new chapter & to create a home for my little family!!! for anyone else in a similar situation; as ignorant as it sounds, stay positive because something will come up - I was on a few waiting lists for new builds in Dublin that have since contacted me saying they have available apartments and are still building - they're not advertised on daft so I googled 'new build co-living spaces' or 'new build apartments dublin' and they should be the first to come up - a lot are very expensive but definitely worth a try!! love u

for the kitchen organisation: we have it organised by "meal-type".
for example; a cupboard for "cold food" ( like cereal, bread & nutella... ) and one for "warm food" ( like pasta, rice, tomatosauce, soup...) then we have a shelf full of spices (because my dad has a thing for spices...idk...)
and then fruits and avocado we have either in the fridge or on a plate displayed on the table. personally i like it alot like this xD 🍽🍓

Completely agree with you Keelin, it’s near impossible to find somewhere in Dublin (or anywhere at the the moment). I was also on Daft everyday, pro tip have the Daft app on your phone and have notifications on for when ads go up! Me and my partner ended up getting a place that wasn’t even advertised too! So happy you found somewhere it feels so amazing to have your own space xx

Congrats to you and your lil fam Keelin! I am so sorry to hear about your sciatica, it's debilitating, cannot recommend acupuncture enough, cured my sciatica I had before getting pregnant. Currently 36 weeks and have managed to avoid it in pregnancy and I can't actually imagine you poor petal 💖 hope you get some relief soon x

@@KeelinMoncrieff housing has just increased massively to be truly unaffordable ! I guess also landlords being greedy aswell but I did luckily found a place so it is possible!! It’s easy to get real pessimistic about the housing crisis but try keep positive !!

Omg she’s been going under there anytime the road cleaners come or I have the hoover on but thank god the place is small enough to notice if she’s missing so hopefully no one squishes her 😩😩
a really nice way to store fruit & veg can be to hang them in nets/crochet bags from the bottom of the kitchen cupboard

In comparison to the absolute dives we viewed it’s a bargain.. one of the first places we viewed was a studio with one window on the ground floor for the same price. Smelled like an ashtray too. There were queues down the road to view the place

I haven't been back home to Ireland since 2019 so I wasn't aware. I thought the housing crisis had more to do with real estate investors holding huge swaths of housing and pushing up the price, which seems to be the case globally, from my understanding
@@laurawalsh3121 yes that to more people are coming into Ireland for work opportunities as Dublin is a tax haven for the big tec firms such as Google Facebook twitter...any people coming here they all have to live somewhere which adds to the pressure of the private rental market landlords can charge wot they want when going to a private rental viewing there's so much competition Ireland is not Ireland anymore
