We are very excited for your family. Mexico is such a magical place. And, yes, we think its ok to call Jamie & Behan your sailing mentors that is how we refer to them…it seems like the only fitting description for these two. Your post got me thinking about the 1st time we meet Behan at the 2017 Offshore Cursing Academy, course in Annapolis MD & how 7-months later J&B would be stepping onto our new/old boat in La Paz, BCS. -- Here is our old journal entry May 11th 2018- -- “Yesterday morning we were at anchor at Isla San Francisco and the next day two unicorns, or maybe they were seahorses, magically showed up at our boat in their dinghy...They really helped us with our future cruising plans...including a thorough run through of ground tackle, the rig and different system layouts. Thank you so very much for your time and wisdom Jamie & Behan of Sailing Totem...two truly special human beings @sailingtotem ...they are some of the best that “Life” has to offer... us mortals. ;) ” --- Footnote: -- We met Behan Oct-2017, Annapolis MD. We bought our boat Jan-2018, La Paz, BCS. Totem’s 10-yr circumnavigation, April-2018, PV. Totem steps aboard our vessel May-2018, La Paz, hardly 30 days after their round the world adventure, to bring sunlight to the fogginess of new/old boat ownership. J&B are amazing humans or are they sunbeams/unicorn/seahorses? ☺
Love this! Thank you for sharing your story💕 We are so thankful for Jamie and Behan they truly are unicorns that have helped us, encouraged us more than I think they realize!
Right on you guys!!! We just walked past the place you guys had Meraki on the hard when you were working on her hull and wondered where you guys were at? SO fabulous!!! Cheering you all on!!! (By the way we LOVE our composting head… no going back!!) 🥳 Can’t wait to hear more on your continuing adventure South!! ⛵️🌴 ~SV Aribel
Hey guys!! Glad you’re loving your composting head - now being out here we know we made the right choice! It’s so nice to not have to find pump outs or deal with macerators. Thanks so much for the cheers 🥳 we feel it and SO appreciate it. 💕
Congratulations, what a blast. Sorry we missed you in Cadboro Bay, would have loved to help. We cruised with three kids, was great. Jamie and Behan are amazing resources. We crossed the Pacific at the same time with Totem. SV Stray Kitty
Wow! The world is so small, would have been great to meet you during our time in Caddy bay. J&B are real gems - we’re so thankful for their knowledge and encouragement! Would love to hear more of your journey with your family did you keep an online blog?
Great Video! Thanks For the Map! Really appreciate it when you give credit to where you get your ideas from! Not sure where you left off on what color you were painting the dodger, but I think I would leave at least the top white. When you get to the tropics the more white the better! Keep up the great work!
I need a course or something on maps 😂 Thanks for your encouragement! We left her white with the exact thought as you… as it gets hotter we will appreciate the white 💕
